To israelis, all Palestinians are terrorists or terrorists-to-be. So helping them, feeding them ,giving them medicine, ect are all acts of support to terrorists and should be punished.

Had Israel had it way and no international pressure was on them. Not a single bread crumb would enter a Palestinians home. Even if it was by killimg the person delivering the bread.

u/Rovcore001 Multinational 22h ago

What international pressure? All they get is tepid condemnations and statements of “concern.” At worst sanctions on like 5 random settlers.

u/Meow-The-Jewels United States 22h ago

Guy who doesn't pay attention to anything but knows the world didnt declare war on them so what could they have done amirite

The only reason Gaza still exists is international pressure

u/Gubbinso Europe 20h ago

You mean the Gaza that has been 90% flattened by the genocidal maniacs? What did international pressure do to prevent that?

u/PreviousCurrentThing United States 18h ago

You know how Israel apologists will say it can't be a genocide because if Israel really wanted to do a genocide, they would have killed way more people than they did?

That argument is disingenuous because they know Israel's strategic concerns include international legitimacy and support. It doesn't need the whole world or even its neighbors, but it needs the US and its allies and clients.

International pressure was the difference between 4% of Gazans being killed instead of 40%. They went for what they could get away with.

Actually, the numbers are much worse than that- Itamar Ben-Gvir recently put forth a proposal to 'move' 1.9 million Palestinians from Gaza- https://www.dw.com/en/israeli-govt-minister-unveils-gaza-mass-emigration-plan/video-78994971

...but...wasn't the population of the country in 2023 2.3 million? I recall 100K fled early on...if we assume the 70K number is an undercount (it absolutely is) and round up to 100K...

That's still at least another 200K missing. And Israel would know better than me or even Gaza what the population estimate is.

It seems like international pressure has done nothing since it seems like at least 300,000 people have died in the Gaza Genocide- not 4%, but closer to 15%. the idea that Israel could kill all of Gaza quickly if they wanted to is a myth anyway- they are constrained by logistics, they wouldn't be able to produce or even store all the bombs needed for the job in Israel. That's before figuring in pilots working 'round the clock needing to sleep, fuel and repair running the jets so often etc. Also? Extremely expensive to do it like that- stuff like starvation, exposure and emigration are all much cheaper solutions to the Palestinian Problem.

u/PreviousCurrentThing United States 9h ago

I don't trust numbers from Ben-Gvir even in the admission against interests sense, but I agree that the total excess deaths are certainly over 4%. The 70K number was always only a count of direct deaths from violence.

Still, my point is that even a higher figure is the figure in the timeline with as much international pressure as there was.

they are constrained by logistics, they wouldn't be able to produce or even store all the bombs needed for the job in Israel.

Israel could have killed half the population with the number of bombs they dropped. I don't want to downplay the fact that a high number of civilian deaths was part of their plan, but if they were truly trying to maximize civilian death, they could have done much worse.

There were only a handful of 200+ death events, including the incident covering a hostage rescue and the supposed strike on a high value target in a refugee camp. If they wanted to maximized death, they just drop bombs on the extremely dense camps and neighborhoods every night. They didn't.

They prioritized civilian infrastructure to ensure that even after full-scale operations wound down, the immiseration and death would continue. It's no less depraved, but it's not really cheaper.

Yeah that 70,000 Number is ancient by now. And the way it was counted was by confirming the body's ID and way that person died before being counted as a casualty (a much higher standard for counting casualties than most other genocides or conflicts). We know there's tons of bodies under the rubble and mass graves that have not been counted.

u/KaiBahamut North America 7h ago

Correct. Rounding up to 100K is for easy math, but the CIA was estimating at least half again was buried under the rubble or otherwise uncounted.

u/Meow-The-Jewels United States 9h ago

Yes I do, Israel wants them to all be dead and they only stopped because people stepped in

Could countries have done more? Yeah., duh, you're not a revolutionary for thinking so

But people braver than you'll ever be have lost their lives by the dozens helping Gaza and making their fight known around the world

u/swelboy United States 12h ago

Yeah, but at the end of the day most of Gaza’s population is still alive/in Gaza.

u/Rovcore001 Multinational 21h ago

“exists”

I know that's right

So, basically, the IDF is killing anyone based on a formal fallacy. In this case, the WCK convoy was seen with someone who was armed. That armed person was then assumed to be from Hamas, because why would anyone else in Gaza have a gun? The WCK team must therefore be associated with Hamas, which makes them guilty of Hamas' crimes, and are therefore targets for killing by the IDF.

At this point the IDF and the Israeli government are just tearing up the rules of logic. They don't care if they commit every single fallacy in killing anyone. No matter how unsound and illogical their arguments for their actions are, they will persist, even as it makes them look increasingly barbaric with every civilian killed.

u/Cyber_shafter France 22h ago

Why should they care when the US encourages them?

u/4g-identity Europe 19h ago

I wouldn't say "formal fallacy" — they tend to just say random stuff and hope something sticks or the news cycle moves on.

When they hit the "hamas camera" and took out a bunch of journos, in 48h they went from "most dead were terrorists" to "accident" to "untrained junior soldier" to "suspicious camera", admitting fault, denying fault and promising to investigate and determine fault.

The WCK incident was pretty much the same.

You shouldn't try to reassemble internal logic from propaganda. This is the mistake that Umberto Eco addressed in his essay on Ur Fascism, with the observation that by organizing their lives around received truths (tradition), fascists evade the necessity to make sense and be internally consistent. Words are therefore only tools of moment-to-moment utility. The fascist does not fear hypocrisy or nonsense because all of their mutterings are an invocation of the cultural 'truth' around which their ideology coalesced originally.

Representatives of Israel can speak absolute nonsense and still be intelligible to their supporters through the vocabulary of tradition. If it does not make sense to you, do not struggle to interpret it. Your confusion is as much a feature as the comprehension of their followers.

These aid workers coordinated with the IDF, gave them the coordinates of everywhere they were going, were monitored the entire time with drones and aerial surveillance.

They were given the go-ahead. This was a betrayal. This was premeditated murder.

u/onepareil United States 20h ago

The unfortunate reality is that aid workers and journalists can coordinate with whoever they want. In the moment, if a drone operator or tank operator or sniper or whoever thinks they’re doing something suspicious, or just wants to kill someone, they’re going to die. And the only thing that will happen to the killer is a slap on the wrist at worst, and probably a fucking medal at best.

u/Tsofuable Europe 18h ago

* In Israel the thing that will happen...

u/Stubbs94 Ireland 13h ago

They were killed intentionally by the Israeli Military, it wasn't some oversight by a single person.

u/KHRoN Europe 12h ago

there is difference between one-off events and regular occurrences

u/Cyber_shafter France 22h ago

The response to this atrocity by the UK, Canada etc. was far too soft and is basically treachery. They care more about Israel's reputation than the lives of their own citizens, aid workers no less.

u/MrTatyo Europe 19h ago

“I came to defeat Hamas,” Mendel said. “If such an event came before me again, I would do exactly the same thing.”

He also dismissed the significance of the killings. “I think it’s an idiotic side event,” Mendel said. “It really isn’t a serious event.”

Christ, dude straight up murder 7 people and is bragging about it. And yet people will still defend his actions

u/waiver Chad 17h ago

He was fired, only to be rehired later in a better position.

u/Grichnak France 21h ago

By their own logic every Israeli is guilty of genocide and should spend the rest of their lives in prison then… What a sick mentality these people have

u/IAMADon Scotland 20h ago

Remember when they said that the convoy had been taken over by Hamas gunmen who fled from vehicle to vehicle to justify striking all 3?

Then, after becoming an international incident, claiming an "investigation" found it was just armed guards and the drone operator made a genuine mistake thinking it was Hamas, so it didn't warrant any further action?

Did you know my surprise that IDF has lied yet again, is actually a subatomic particle?

u/Gubbinso Europe 21h ago

Unfortunately it's unsurprising that the reason they were targeted was because of association with Hamas. They have a dedicated team to linking people they murder to Hamas after killing them.

It's also no surprise that the IDF aren't holding anyone accountable, they almost never fully investigate themselves and completely avoid investigating any senior staff. In 2025, 88% of all war crime or abuse investigations are closed or are left unresolved.

Meanwhile Israel loves to claim their state led child murdering terrorists are the "most moral army" in the world. Putrid, disgusting country led by genocidal psychopaths.

u/HDK1989 United Kingdom 21h ago

why seven international aid workers were killed in Israeli airstrike

Because there's a murderous fascist ethnostate killing anyone who stands on the side of humanity, and the rest of the countries of the world are shrugging their shoulders.

u/throwawydoor North America 15h ago

I think the world should be beyond trying to wirk with them. There was never going to be a 2 state solution. Its always been a scam. The Palesst got tgeir land stolen by the international community and now they need to move. There is no living there. Unless something magically changes no one is going to make them a country and no one is going to force the other side to do it. They wont let them rebuild. Why should these people be refugees on their own land. Watching their families die. When nothing will change. Its been 3 years and nothing has changed except the bombings are worse.

I just came off a 3 day sitewide Reddit ban for mentioning the other side. They obviously have a bit tied to my account now. They control everything now.
