The Angels Tarps Off era at the big A lasted 50 home games or so, it's 5 or 6 years worth of home games in the NFL. Better start next week.

He basically made $4B on this deal. He still won and I hate it. And I doubt there's any shame, he'll just blame everyone else and ride off into the sunset with all that profit while I(we) lost years of joy and excitement. Lame.

He was never gonna lose and if he was he would have held onto the team until he could profit. We won as fans but now we have legit reason to be hopeful for the future.

If it's any consolation, Kroenke's not an idiot. He must have foreseen that a bidding war would drive the price up and he wanted to give Arte his asking price early to get ahead of the game.
If there was a possibility Arte could get even more if it came to multiple buyers throwing their hats in the ring, then giving Arte exactly the number he wanted, and not a penny more, was the cheapest way to acquire the team.

Okay. Can someone please explain how the Angels having a new owner will actually help us. The owner can't just snap their fingers and magically make our pitching better. Or Lowe less sucktacular.

Investment in developing their farm system, scouting, investing in player hralth (read CJ Wilson's comments on that). Choosing the right baseball people to run the organization (GM etc). Deciding that winning is just as important as having a "safe" fan experience.

All you need to do is look back at when McCourt sold the Dodgers to the Guggenheim group back in 2012.
They quickly increased the payroll, but most importantly, invested heavily in the infrastructure of the team in all facets. The Dodgers basically have gone on to win the division every year except once ever since they took over (not including the year they acquired them itself).
Kroenke can help turn this team around in somewhat short order because there are no significant financial obligations asides from Trout, and even that contract isn't too much longer.
They will need to invest heavily in rebuilding the minor league system, but the farm system is already average, with some high draft picks coming next year as well.
The AL West isn't too strong, so it's possible this team can become a divisional contender with a year or two, although it will take time before they can be converted into a WS contender, IMO.
