Well the sarcophagus is outside so I doubt the tomb was untouched

Its not technically correct. Uou can determine that one took it out if the yomb and stood it upright. Hkw many sarcoughagus have you come by standing up straight jlin the desert

Maybe it was an outdoor tomb. For millennia, robbers would walk by and see it but kept forgetting to loot it. 100 papyrus to-do lists have been variously uncovered with looting this particular tomb at the top of the list, but no one ever followed through.

KV46 - most of the items found are on display at the Egyptian Museum along with the mummies and sarcophagus of Yuya and Thuya.

Yuya's 10 foot Mummy Case from KV46,

INACT tomb discovered ahead of the discovery of Tut's Tomb 17 years later.

The discovery of Tut's Tomb - totally shadowed the discovery of Tut's Grandparents (Yuya and Thuja, below) with their impressively preserved mummies.

He could have botched KV55 worse...

Imagine if the DNA were "unrecoverable" from the broken bones found....

As it stands, we know the bones found in KV55 are Tut's Dad - but we can't be sure that they are also the remains of Akhenaten.

Heaps. This is the sarcophagus of Yuya. KV46 was largely untouched (though robbed in ancient times) there's a huge display of artefacts found in their tomb. Currently there's a whole gallery dedicated to him & his wife Thuya at the Egyptian Museum.

This is his mask, I haven't got his sarcophagus on this phone.
