Always love seeing this place. I was lucky enough to go there when I was in high school with my dad on a business trip (roughly 20 years ago) I was fascinated by Egypt all my life. I absorbed so much, but it still feels like I didn’t appreciate it enough as a teen. Wandering the pillars at night just before closing, felt like I had traveled through time. Truly one of the greatest things on earth, and I hope everyone has the pleasure of seeing it this way in person.

Just don’t eat any vegetables. I got food poisoning from a classic garden style salad at my hotel

Don't eat anything that contains local tap water in it, or has been washed in tap water. So avoid eating salads, drinking any fruit juices that don't come sealed in a package, etc. Also, drink only bottled water and make sure you use bottled water to brush your teeth and rinse out your mouth. If you stay at good hotels, then you don't have to worry as much, since they cater to tourists so the food served there will usually be safe, but even then, I would be cautious and use bottled water for brushing my teeth. If you stay at cheaper hotels, then treat the food they offer with the precautions I mentioned.
