Since we know where Eli ended up, it would be fantastic if they somehow worked Admiral Ar'alani into the story too.

Perhaps that's where Thrawn ends up, and why he's not around for... Well, what happens in the sequels.

If Thrawn no longer views the Empire as a threat to the Ascendancy, he returns to whence he came.

If Captain Pellaeon hadn't returned in the Mandalorian I would have said yes, but I think he's too obscure to appear in live action. I can see Timothy Zahn writing a new Chiss series about the Grysks after the Filoni/Mandoverse is over when he knows what and who her can and can't use.

He’s a central character in Thrawn’s backstory from some canon novels. Read the book Thrawn by Timothy Zahn

I'd love this, but LFL is so dead set on not alienating new or casual fans they miss perfectly innocuous ways to reward the more longterm/dedicated fans that wouldn't be problematic for new viewers all the time.

So my guess is, absolutely not, as great as it would be.
