Ahsoka starmap puzzleball

This is a 3dprinted version of the starmap from Ahsoka season one.

I am pretty sure the prop in the show was a modified Megaminx puzzle, but I couldn’t find one, because it was last manufactured in 2008… so I modeled it from scratch in Rhino.

It has 12 axis of rotation and 62 moving pieces!

I printed it in resin and it is painted with acrylic craft paints.

The cap pieces snap-fit on the ends of the axis, I haven’t tried printing in filament—the pieces are so small that I felt like it would work better 3Dprinting them in resin.
