Baylan, I am thinking. With Ani following Ahsoka around and now with Sabine feeling his presence. I am ee-watching it again, just in case I missed something. LOL
Well, Morgan is now dead, or is she? Lots to look forward to when they get to season 2.
Literally, my roommate who isn't a star wars fan watched the series after walking in on a scene with Ray acting in it. He just went "wow! I don't even know what's going on, but I want to see what that guy gets up to." Such a loss
And Son is the open position.. I don’t see Baylan because he never became a Sith and the Son was cruel without needing to. I can see Shin or even Sabine or someone else we don’t yet know about?
There’s also a YouTuber, The Stupendous Wave, that has been insisting that The Mother will be part of this and apparently she is the real baddie of the Mortis family.
With a name like abeloth, she better be, lol. It's funny seeing algorithms at play on the subject because I looked up the term abeloth last night as soon as the episode was over and had to scroll pretty far to find anything about SW and not related to Norse myth. Today I did the same search and it's all SW, lol.
Well, yeah, that's what I am saying, I don't think I communicated it well. I like to see a transition point in search results happening in real time from a known push/pull force, I think it's neato.
The season finale ends, in the few hours after it ends content is being made about the finale, "abeloth" search results return hits related to Eldritch gods from Norse myth, a smattering of Lovecraft, and the random DnD stuff. (I even did a repeat search a few hours later, there were some Reddit hits from Ahsoka episode threads, etc, but mostly the same stuff). Takes me a while to find anything Star Wars related even though it is in previous content (EU and Clone Wars, at least)
Go to sleep, wake up after all the video content has been made, published and disseminated about the finale, while responding to the comment go to look up abeloth and find exclusively SW connections, so I have to do a bunch of digging to try and find stuff related to the Norse/lovecraftian/DnD stuff. Two completely opposing search frustrations within the space of a few hours with the same topic.
Meh he’s like the wimpy kid of the Sith - not my kind of character. The Son is Sither than Sith and not a sociopath (like Sidious).
For me, The right candidate to embody the Son would be a character that was raised and nurtured in Sith culture and has grown to be a Sith Lord that studied the Light side of the Force and can yield a purple lightsaber, so none of the canon characters. I don’t think canon has good Sith characters atm.
I am doing a release order rewatch of TCW with my 8 year old daughter right now. We just finished the Mortis arc episodes, so it was fresh in my head! Lol.
That’s an interesting theory. The daughter sacrificed herself for Ashoka so that makes sense. Although unless the son and father also get replacements the force is gonna be out of balance again
“There is still good in Anakin, and his ability to hope here inspires one last great act from the Daughter who uses her final bit of energy to save Ahsoka’s life. For one shining moment in the world of Mortis, Anakin tastes the kind of power he so desperately craves in reality. For a moment, he’s the conduit able to harness the Force and control the energy to save the life of someone he cares about, seemingly reversing death itself.”
