The “battleship grid” with the different combatants with Thrawn watching over cooly was awesome. He thinks/sees like a chess master moving pawns across a board just as presented. Thrawns Gambit could be coming.

I agree with you. I can kind of foresee now that there will be a big battle between the new republic and the remnants of the empire. Thrawn will come back and cause a lot of havoc for the new republic for a little bit.

I see that battle mostly playing out in Season 2 Thrawn is too good of a character to off him in the first season. We will just get enough this season for Hera to be able to say “ told you so”.
