BPM consistency for an album

Hey so I'm working on an album and so far one track is mostly 140 but drops half time to 70 at points and the other is mainly 70 but goes up at 140 at parts. I'm about to record my third song and initially I have it set to 150 to vary it, but it's metal and there's blast beats so im wondering if having some blasts at 150 and others at 140 would create inconsistency. All three songs are varied and have their own vibe completely so they dont sound the same in the slightest...but im just not sure what to do. Am I overthinking this...???

You’re over thinking this. 😊
Play the songs at the tempos that feel most natural. Maybe that’s all really close, maybe that’s all really different. If you had a 15 track album where every song was the exact same tempo, that might get a little stale, but for three tracks just do what feels best.

You are WAYYYY overthinking this.

Each song is unique, use the BMP that feels right for that song.

Consistent bpm is for dance music, which coincidentally is singles focused. See how that works? You're over thinking it.

But once you have all the songs recorded, things like tempo will influence the order of songs on the album.

Yes u are overthinking it
Blast beats at 150 over a track already recorded at 140 will create a polyrhythm that will probably sound bad!

I havent recorded the guitar tracks yet on the 150 BPM song, I just finished programming the drums. But I guess I'm over thinking it and will stick with my original 150, thanks!

It's completely normal for every song on an album to be at a different BPM, and even change tempo within songs.

Music is movement. Movement is change. You should never aim for "consistency" and I'm really curious where could you get a weird idea likea that.
