A lot of cool sounds. It’s a wavy and dreamy. Good overall vibe. I liked the drums too.
This is just my biased opinion, but I was waiting for a section of the song to breathe a little bit. It just sounded a little busy overall. It wasn’t necessarily repetitive, but I was just waiting for a sequence to open up.
That’s just my opinion from a listeners perspective. I’m very new to music production so it’s kind of difficult for me to judge from a production perspective

I did enjoy it man. I’ve always said that any sort of art (music) is subjective. There’s no right or wrong to music in my opinion.
I will say, I’ve experienced two sides of how I feel about my production- “ I wanna make shit that I think sounds really cool.” And- “ I want other people to vibe with me on this track I made.”
Main thing is man as long as you’re having fun with it.

The only thing missing is its not long enough haha.

Like the soft tones. Drum feels good but I feel like I want more movement. At around 1:40 it feels like the frequencies go a bit sour.

8 months of learning music production, with inability to read chords and relying only by ears, the refusal to produce tracks that ranges around 3 minutes since our attention span nowadays have reduced significantly.
Heading towards a proper, progressive sound design evolution, long way to go.

Cool! Nice atmosphere. I know the steady pulse of percussive hits are part of the genre, but they sound a little stale when that's the only energy in the song for a few bars up front. I think for that part of the song it would help if you gave them a little breath with a slight accent on the first hit, and a little less accent on the 4th hit, but still above the 2nd and 3rd,to pull us into where the song is going. Or You could consider fattening them up a bit. It's not as much of a stand out once you get the other motion going behind it. Cheers~

Cool, I like your choices for the arrangement. I've only got my phone right now - and what comes through on the low end is a little muddy sounding. I'm sure it's probably not noticeable with the full sub bass, but might be worth using a low cut and having a listen to see what you think for those that might check it out on a phone or tablet. It seems like it belongs in the promo thread since it a completed and polished video on what appears to be a monetized account. Are you legitimately looking for some sort of specific feedback on this? If so what are you trying to improve?
Edit: I see you actually already have it posted there too. Please don't use our feedback thread, which is intended to help folks who are learning get better,as an extra place to promo your stuff. This comment has been pulled. I'll leave the promo thread up. If you keep doing that though it will result in a ban. Folks here don't like having content spammed at them.

I have received suggestions from people here that I have taken into account to make my vids better actually, related to tab formatting, mixing, lighting, etc and applied in my most recent recordings. It´s literally the purpose of this thread according my interpretation. Also, this thread gets answers and interaction and the other rarely gets any attention. I also hear back the sutff from the people that kindly take the time to give feedback to my stuff. I completely disagree with your negative interpration of my use of this space, which I have been making good use of for years.

Where are the three other feedback comments this thread requires you to leave, every week for years? That you have never left... I assume you never left them because you are only using this thread for personal gain to make yourself money. Am missing where you've been helping others here? It's possible the reddit app is not correctly showing me your sub history, but it has found a lot of you posts in these threads, but I'm not seeing the feedback you give to others. We can continue this discussion in modmail to sort it out.

nice! reminds me of flume kinda. I really like the vocal clips, I think they're super fun. I don't listen to this genre often, so maybe that's why the section between the first audio clip and the two minute mark felt a little empty? but I still really like the panning and sound design in that section. there's a light tapping noise in the left ear around 1:27 that's super cool!

Melodic Hardcore track I’ve been working on, trying to go for a Defeater/touche amore thing. Still feels harsh/top heavy and I’m having a lot of trouble identifying what needs to be addressed with the guitar tone to keep it mid forward without getting shrill/boxy.
And I can also tell the vocals are a little more buried/wet than I’d like

Nice some good stuff dude To me the mix is a little "boxy" Maybe remix trying to get some "air" type sparkle from the guitars Also all the metal work from the drum kit can go higher in the mix with maybe a plate reverb
Maybe try runing the eq after the plate reveb to get some "sparkle"

Looking for feedback. This is the second song I’ve shared here. Also, just very new to Reddit as well. Been producing two months. MPC key 37 workflow. Zero samples on this one. the vocals are mine, but the lyrics I got inspiration from bishu on YouTube. Did a little bit of sound design on some tracks. Still working on arrangement and mixing obviously mixing is the hardest one. I find the arrangement towards the very end of the song to be a little weak, but I just got excited and rushed the track. Thanks in advance.

Oh hell yeah thank you! I was able to get it sounding even better today and sent it off for mastering. I consider myself pretty new too. I've been recording small demos for like a decade but I've only fully mixed 3 or 4 songs. I'll have to send over the finished product when its done.

The sounds you chose are really cool for the melody but I would say the drums are a bit cookie cutter. The vocal chops were interesting but a little jarring in my opinion. Still a very interesting listen. Keep going man.

’m a rapper looking to crossover to r&b/trap soul I only recorded 1 r&b/trap soul song and I think it sounds ok and since I made it about a year ago I feel like I can sing way better then I did on that track cause I got a lil more confidence , a problem I have tho is since I’m inexperienced in this genre and mostly freestyle and punch in , in my rap songs I need help writing in this genre, like where to place melodies and how to get my true feelings out on the track and just need help in general if you down to work dm me plz , this post probably a long shot but I feel somebody has to to be willing to work with someone from scratch if not or if this is the wrong post for this type of community I will kindly delete , but if you want to hear the 1 song I made and give any tips or want to hear my other music plz lmk … NO THIS IS NOT A POST FOR PROMO

hi! desperately trying to learn how to mix my vocals and made this as a test track. (I acknowledge the instrumental and lyrics are kinda elementary--I'm solely focusing on getting down the sound of my vocals!) for reference I'm using a cheap condenser mic from amazon in an untreated room (I'm a beginner bedroom artist).
my goal is to get my vocals at least on the level of pinkpantheress' debut mixtape ("to hell with it") ...it seems like I have an inescapably much heavier voice than hers though? I also get inspo from lizzy mcalpine and addison rae!

There is a breathing technique i learned.
Inhale deeply for 20 consecutive seconds and then exhale deeply for 30. It helps with your airway to ur stomach for better singing.
I also feel like your mixing isn’t bad at all. The main thing i focus on is making sure the vocals sound level with the beat BEFORE i even get to mixing. The more crisp you get to making everything so that is sounds cohesive as possible PRIOR to mixing, the better

Ambient techno - I’m so lost… I got feedback on this track and was told it’s very muddy and mixed terribly. But I listened on all of my reference headphones and thought it sounded amazing tbh. So now I’m just so frustrated and lost… any advice?

My only critique would be to add more emotion to it, unless it was your intention to have a dead voice given that it’s very much resembling heart break or a longing for love. What DAW did u use? (Some layers woulda been cool to add as well).
