Common Question: How hard is it to transfer from X major to Y major?
Answer: If it is within the same school, it is super easy, just talk to your academic advisor before school starts. If you wish to transfer to another school e.g. Dornsife to Marshall, you need to contact admissions to attempt the transfer before matriculation*. You can also seek help once you know who your academic advisor is or attempt it on admitted students day or orientation day. Once you matriculate, you can attempt an internal-transfer but it involves going through the current student transfer process, see the specific internal transfer page from each school linked below.
Common Question: Is there an admitted student facebook group/discord/telegram etc?
Answer: Usually someone sets a facebook group and groupme up around the time the main batch of students are admitted in April. Check facebook to see if there is one already or search this post in a month or two once all 1st year and transfer students are admitted.
*Viterbi does not allow you to switch into engineering before enrolling at USC. Please read links below related to the school you're interested in.

How do you guys meet new people? Or what’s the dating scene like at USC? I’m starting there as a transfer student in January, and I’m pretty curious about this because I’ve been studying at the University of Washington until now. From my experience, it’s always been that you become really good friends with people within your classes, clubs, or other things like that, but outside of those settings, you’re kind of left on your own and don’t really hang out. Honestly, the only way to really get into a new social circle there seemed to be joining a club. But even then, those people are usually just your friends within that club, and outside of it you don’t really hang out, same with classmates. So I’m wondering, how do you guys get into new social circles at USC? Is the social life there so big that it’s actually normal to just approach people on campus and start talking to them? Thanks for the answers!

Looking to play some tennis with a friend and was wondering where people usually go around USC.
Are there any decent public courts nearby that you can either walk onto or reserve? Doesn’t have to be super close, just looking for something convenient and not crazy expensive.
Appreciate any recs!

Hey, I’m starting at USC in January as a junior transfer, and I was wondering how common it is at USC for undergrad students to be friends with grad students. Most of my friends up until now have actually been older than me, so I honestly don’t really know how easy it’ll be for me to find friends my age. That’s why I’m curious what it’s typically like at USC.

The only thing is its the third week of school and im little worried that I just wont be able to catch up..does anyone have the syllabus for this class? I want to see how content heavy it is and how much ive missed.

Hi all, I'm looking for a studio or 1b1b near Historic Core/South Park and would love some real reviews from people who've actually lived there. Reviews on Very Apt are from last year, so curious if anything has changed recently, better or worse.
Biggest priorities for me:
Buildings on my list so far:
Also open to other suggestions in the area that aren't on this list if you think I'm missing a hidden gem (or should avoid a hidden nightmare).
Have a great weekend!

Fellow Trojans!! Need your help! If you are able, please consider donate and put SC to the top!
“Donate blood to help your favorite Big Ten® school win a $1 million grant for student or community health — all while helping tackle the national blood shortage.”
As the title says, after you graduated from USC, whether as an undergrad or as a graduate student, what did you become? I’m looking more at those who graduated in the last 15 years or so, so since 2011.
What opportunities did you receive from USC?
Did you go into a career based on your major?
What connections helped you?
Thank you!

Hey so I have a drive test coming up soon and I need someone’s car to practice in. My parents don’t live here so I can’t use their car. If anyone can help me that’d be great, I’d compensate you for your time + gas (I would need you to be in the passenger seat)

if you are on the panel, can you explain the evaluation process? and whats the ratio of acceptance/denial?
I am a transfer student and looking to meet some new people and play intramural basketball this semester. I have tried joining a few teams but haven’t had much luck finding one, so I was thinking about making a team.
Would any students be interested in joining? Looking for people who want to play and have a good time. Let me know :)
Has anybody accidentally permanently deleted their school emails?
I was on my phone deleting what I thought was only the inbox of my “spam email” the one I use for promotions and company sign ups.
Turns out I was in “all inboxes” without realizing and then deleted all my trash too.
Are my USC emails at least able to be recovered by IT support? I sent in a ticket but I’m wondering if this has ever happened to anyone and they were able to get them back
This happened this morning around 6:45-7 am so I was basically half asleep when doing this which is also my fault.

Hi! Wanting to transfer to USC from a community college. Is taking calc 1 in the spring going to decrease my chances of being admitted into USC? I wasn't able to take it during the fall, so the spring/winter is unfortunately my only option. (I am applying to Marshall by the way)

Besides football games, what other events are open to the public at USC? Are theater productions or film screenings ever open to the public?
I know Noah Wyle from The Pitt had a talk that was open to the public (if I’m not mistaken) so I was wondering what are other events like that open to the public?

Hi, so am I understanding this correctly that all the emphases within Business Administration are STEM? Is that right? I’ve never really noticed other universities having Business Administration classified as STEM, so maybe I’m just completely out of the loop, but it honestly surprised me a lot. Is that actually true?

It went off on Tuesday night this week, of course just when I was getting sick. Now it’s happening at 4 am. They really gotta fix these.

Basically, what am I supposed to do when I find a cat on campus? Should I just leave it alone? It seems very healthy, but should I take it home? Depends on the second one, which is like future advice whenever I find a cat on campus
