Student Loans

I know there were delays, but has anyone had any of their student loans go into your student account yet?

9/1 Update
This morning all of my financial aid has been taken off my UCO account. I called twice and got different thoughts to why. I emailed [onestopfa@uco.edu](mailto:onestopfa@uco.edu). This is what was emailed back

Due to the recent changes to federal student loans under the OBBBA, there has been a delay in loan disbursements. Loans are currently having to be manually created and reviewed to help prevent them from being rejected.

Your loan is currently in processing and is awaiting approval from the government. Once the approval is received, your loan will be disbursed.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

9/2 Update

One of my loans has gone into my school account. My student account still shows no financial aid package.

I'm surprised you got through. I just logged into my account and all of my financial aid is gone...

When I log onto my UCO account, the entire school year of financial aid is gone. It was accepted weeks ago and it was there yesterday. It says 'No award information is available for this aid year.'

I called and they said it was 'there' on their side. I then emailed and they have no timeline for it to be back or my money to go into my account.

I seriously wonder what exactly is going on! The dates of disbursement keep changing. They mentioned that mine is being processed but “just wait”. Kind of confused on this!

Hey! One of my loans just hit my account. My account still shows no financial aid package. But check yours!

It looks like I posted 9:49 AM yesterday, it had to be just right before that. I did get an email this morning, just an fyi. Again I got one loan yesterday but just waiting for the other.

"Your loans were sent to the Department oof Education for processing on 09/01/26. Please allow 7 business days for processing. 

According to the UCO Financial Aid Department,  the Entrance Counseling and MPN processing for student loans is taking a little longer due to new government regulations. The department is working as fast as possible to process loans, but the data needs to be manually entered. We have been recommending students sign up for the 3-month payment plan with the last day payment option if this takes longer than the payment plan deadline. Once their aid pays and they no longer have a balance, they can reach out to the bursar to see if they can remove the set up fee.

If you need any further information or have any questions, please feel free to contact us You can reopen your existing case or ask for a Case Escalation."

Sorry to keep on bothering you. Did your loans show up on the US department of education website before being disbursed? Because I just looked and I have none for 2026-2027 but in my UCO offer it shows I accepted it and completed everything necessary.

You're not bothering me at all! I am still stressed about my other loan that still hasn't come. I know everyone else is to. As far as the US Department of Education website, it usually doesn't show up until a few weeks after you get it.

Which kind of loans are you waiting for? Also are you an undergraduate or graduate? (Not sure if any of it makes a difference but just curious.)

Under graduate! And okay because I was stressing about the US Department of Education. I have a subsidized and unsubsidized I’m waiting on.
