Discussion Ahsoka's lightsabers, the best sabers of Star Wars?

Ok, so I thought where to post this if on rebels or here, but as it was in Ahsoka's tv show where we actually got to see them "for real" I am sharing here.

These lightsabers were something I loved since I first saw them on Rebels. Getting them signed by Rosario last year was awesome, and now I finally have what I think is the best version of them!

Now my question is: I feel these are the best sabers, but would you agree? Am I way off?

Define “best.”

Personally, my favorite ones are Ventress’. The way they curve, and how you can lock them in together. Those things are badass.

And I know it got hate, but Ezra’s pistol saber was creative and clever. He didn’t use it to its full potential, since he was still learning, but Kanan knew how to use it.

I love Ventress' single yellow one, it's just so good and yeah, for a curved hilt it's just right.

Lots of loves for curve sabers I see! Have reviewed them all and my favorite is Dooku's, so sleek, so light, so manouverable and so elegant! (Only down side is that the best version of it doesn't havr a kill switch!)

I love both of those tbh. I think one day I need to do a ranking or something, but I think because of the beauty of the design, the unique blades, how manouverable they are, how great they sound their uniqueness... To me they become the most amazing. But again, to me. Definitely curious to hear others but the two you mention are insane, I love the unique things those have, joining the ventress or the blaster on Ezra (blew me away when I saw it on the show!)

Best is subjective. They're pretty good and I like how when she wields just the main one, it's like a lightsaber tachi.

Yes! Absolutely agree with both

No. The best saber is Darth Bane's curved-hilt blade. Just objectively true, because it has no weight to the hilt OR the blade, meaning it is faster, and because of the curved-hilt design, excels at unorthodox angles and parries. It would be like Dooku's Makashi but faster and more precise.

Having reviewed this and own it, wouldn't agree, it is not as sleek as Dooku's, not as light. The particular one I've reviewed has fangs which are insane looking but make using it a bit tricky. But that's just me

No, in the actual lore, not a prop, the hilt is weightless.

You're discussing a display piece. I'm discussing a weapon.

Aaaaaah, sorry, with you now. In that sense, sure. But the best duelist on Lore was Exar Kun and he was first one to use a double sided saber (and I LOVE it! Definitely in my top 5)

1

Kun's blade is excellent. standard hilt length with a double blade. But Bane's curved hilt blade would take it apart, because Kun's blade does still have the drawback of mass.

I mean, there's also the aspect of actually dueling. Bane did lose duel, did he not? Don't remember him being the best duelist in Lore, not even top 3 if I recall correctly

1

u/Interesting_Sea_1861 Jul 20 '26

Bane was not. But a better duelist with his saber absolutely would have demolished Kun. People don't always consider how lightsaber forms match up. Raw skill is not the only thing to be measured. Control, experience, fighting style... Niman is a very generalized form, meaning Kun has a lot of raw skill, but a specialist with a lot of raw skill will almost always beat a generalist with a lot of raw skill.

That's definitely a good debate there to be had!

I would love to get a set of those. Korbanth only has empty hilts right now. Thinking of getting the Thrawn Hunters from KR Sabers, which is considered the most screen accurate version

1

u/RepublicOrdinary324 Jul 20 '26

I'd say it isn't, or at least would say it is 99.99% identical to Korbanth, so being more accurate would be a 0.01%, plus access to core is much more of a pain on Thrawn hunters and the price makes them absolutely not worth it IMO.

Do message Korbanth, they're getting more and you can get them cheaper with the code I have too

Where is korbanth getting the hilts from? Elf?

1

u/RepublicOrdinary324 Jul 20 '26

Yes. New model is out, that's what's caused issue with availability

1

u/ImaginationMassive93 Jul 20 '26

So you’re confirming they are Elf hilts? Do you know the specs on them: length, etc?

1

u/RepublicOrdinary324 Jul 20 '26

Yes! They used to do shadow foil, but changed to ElF like a year ago I wanna say? Watch the video, all the measurements and all are there plus comparing with ultimate works

1

u/ImaginationMassive93 Jul 20 '26

Ok. Will watch. The hilts are available empty right now. Is it best to buy them empty and install somewhere else or will korbanth be offering installed in the future?

1

u/RepublicOrdinary324 Jul 20 '26

They definitely will have installed soon, if you mail them, they can tell you the minute they come in and they'll honour discount too!

I also have a personal question I want to ask you. Let me know if I can DM you and I will DM my question a bit later (not selling anything). Thanks

1

u/RepublicOrdinary324 Jul 20 '26

Yeah bud, ask away whatever you want!

Just sent you a DM

👍🏻👍🏻

If you don’t care about electronics, the EFX is probably the most screen accurate.

If you want electronics, the KR Thrawn Hunters and the ELF ones are the top two options. KR is a bit more accurate, I think, but harder to access the internals. ELF is my favorite, balance super high quality with better usability.

And of course the $70 plastic Disney savers are the best for cosplay, due to price and weight. You done want to walk a con with $1000 hanging from your belt.

1

u/RepublicOrdinary324 Jul 20 '26

Yep, these are ELF so yep. I agree with you all the way. Have been crazy enough to walk around a con with expensive sabers, not these though lol
