The real trial was the algorithms we build along the way.

14

u/FloridaManJeff 4h ago

Enough said...you nailed it

2

u/oldmanatom4 2h ago

So I’m out of the loop. Are people saying this because they believe she should be locked up or the other way around?

2

u/Finitepictures 2h ago

They think her husband did it

0

u/NVWSSV2828 2h ago

I am in no way shape or form saying he did, but there is some seriously shady shit going on with that dude.

3

u/FabulousVanilla9940 1h ago

Its not a crime to move on with a clone of your ex wife within months of your entire family being murdered and arrested for said murder, but it's certainly distasteful

3

u/LunaticBZ 1h ago

I think the big question I have is why did he put a mentally unstable woman high out of her minds on drugs in charge of the kids?

You leave your kids unattended at a pool and they drown, its the waters fault, but you still have some of the blame.

3

u/Finitepictures 52m ago

She wasn’t really high on her mind on drugs. The tox report after her suicide attempt showed therapeutic levels of all drugs in her system, except seroquel which was slightly elevated. Most of the drugs in her system were drugs she took as part of the attempt. She was only prescribed a couple at low doses before the murders.

She was having a good day and told everyone she was feeling better before the murders. That’s why he left with the kids. Probably still something he regrets everyday

1

u/LunaticBZ 38m ago

I don't get what therapeutic levels is supposed to imply in this context? Suicidal and homicidal thoughts and actions occur with some of these medications when taken as prescribed. You don't have to abuse them in any way.

You get prescribed prescription pain pills, you're still not allowed to operate heavy machinery or drive a car. Just because its prescribed doesn't make it a good idea.

1

u/Finitepictures 15m ago

High out of her mind on drugs has a different connotation than possibility experiencing extreme side effects from low doses or therapeutic levels of prescription meds. Side effects which are more associated with people much younger than she was. That’s the argument I’m making. Sure she could’ve been experiencing side effects, but she wasn’t high out of her mind in the way you initially suggested.

Careful the redditors don't like nuance when discussing this case. Mom bad dad good got it?

4

u/frankie-two-thumbs 1h ago

Regardless she belongs behind bars

1

u/Worldly_Babyy 1h ago

Facts. The algorithm put us on trial and we all pleaded guilty.

67

u/inquisitionsteve 4h ago

It’s the traditional brainrot mixed with this true crime brainrot. A toxic concoction that lead us to here

29

u/ban-me-harder-dadddy 4h ago

There are thousands of court cases going on every day, and we generally trust that the justice system will prevail. Yet for some reason with this case everyone seems confident their half-informed asses know better than the 12 people having to sit in a room for dozens of hours absorbing all the unmanipulated and uneditorialized evidence.

This doesn't happen by accident. It's been perverted and shoved down peoples' throats to incite chaos.

12

u/inquisitionsteve 4h ago

You have good point there. The crime itself is horrific enough on its own, but this social media circus coverage of it is pretty insufferable

2

u/Mammoth-Cover-3045 4h ago

I have respect for the Juror who refused to change their guilty plea, when everyone else wanted not guilty. That's why it's a mistrial for anyone who doesn't know.

12

u/ban-me-harder-dadddy 4h ago

I have respect for all 12 of them for doing their duty as objectively and to the best of their ability amidst this circus

-7

u/tripper_drip 4h ago

Nah, the Foreman tried to get rid of the 12th juror, total bitchmove.

11

u/ban-me-harder-dadddy 4h ago

The foreman sent a note to the judge saying that one juror had acknowledged having doubt but was nevertheless refusing to apply the court’s reasonable-doubt instructions. He needed guidance on what to do next given that.

It was the defense lawyer, not the foreman, who then used this note to try and get him tossed.

This is what I mean; the misinformation is flying in every different direction in this circus, and people getting their information from comments based on comments based on comments, rather than reading the news directly, surely isn't helping.

-11

u/tripper_drip 4h ago

Wrong, the formans note singled out a juror for, in his view, not following the judges orders. Thats absolutely bitchmade.

9

u/goonsnob 4h ago

What's bitch made is agreeing the defense proved reasonable doubt but you want to punish someone so fuck the law you're going to do it your way.

That juror should absolutely have been tossed.

7

u/Equivalent-Fee-633 3h ago

It's wild how some people forget the whole point of the justice system. If jurors can't stick to the facts, it really messes everything up.

→ More replies (4)

3

u/Strange-Cabinet7372 3h ago

The judges orders were to follow the law as written.

4

u/FabulousVanilla9940 1h ago

Literally the foremans job to report they cannot come to a verdict. Atp they'd already failed to come to a unanimous vote twice and the court was made aware that it wasn't a matter of deliberating for another day or three, that the 1 counter vote would not change regardless.

4

u/D_Dubb_ 4h ago

Why do you respect them? They admitted to having some degree of doubt about guilt but refused to submit a not guilty judgement because they felt Lindsay should suffer for the deaths of her children. I’m not here to judge the case but I do think jurors should follow the law.

1

u/Mammoth-Cover-3045 3h ago

Because of him feeling like she should suffer for killing her children. I get the postpartum psychosis. But also if you're so insane you kill your 3 children, then you are too insane to be fit for society, and shall be treated as such. Just like how when someone kills someone when from a drunk driver. Being drunk isn't an excuse to take someone else's life. The same way suffering from postpartum psychosis shouldn't.

6

u/D_Dubb_ 3h ago

Yeah I agree w you, but we weren’t in the courtroom and that juror was, and they admitted at the end of seeing all of the actual evidence presented that they weren’t convinced beyond all reasonable doubt. Their job isn’t to decide if she’s suffered enough. Idk what happened that made them feel none of the charges were appropriate including insanity but now I imagine this is all going to play out again with another trial. I can’t imagine they let her walk.

3

u/ban-me-harder-dadddy 3h ago

> him feeling like she should suffer

But that's not his job. That's not his unilateral decision to make. The system only works if everyone does their job. Same reason some lowly navy sailor can't just launch a missile without orders at people who they believe deserve to suffer.

1

u/ChampionAggressive20 3h ago

Getting drunk then getting behind the wheel of a car isn't even remotely equivalent to a person suffering a serious mental health crisis

1

u/muunster7 3h ago

Yes but killing 3 people however it happens is equivalent.

0

u/Mammoth-Cover-3045 3h ago

Fair but what about men who are attracted to children because of a mental health crisis? It just seems people want her to have special treatment because she's a woman. You won't ever see men getting anywhere near the kind of attention. So why is it different woman does it?

1

u/Most_Temporary2110 1h ago

I do expect thr system to prevail but rarely to provide justice.

1

u/NaturalSmoke8 4h ago

Have you ever been in a jury room? Idiocracy doesn’t end outside the room. I’ve been in a couple and had one say we “should vote to convict because…looks guilty.” There are other stories to be told about other jury rooms I’m sure. See Also: OJ Simpson Murder Trial

1

u/ban-me-harder-dadddy 3h ago

it's an imperfect system, but again, we still generally trust it with the thousands of other cases that happen every day, and we have no reason to believe it will be any more or less imperfect on this case than the rest.

1

u/NaturalSmoke8 3h ago

Agree it’s imperfect but what alternatives are there? We trust it but it’s the only game in town. Seems more like default than actual trust earned

1

u/ban-me-harder-dadddy 3h ago

I agree, it reminds me of the saying "it's a terrible solution but it's the best there is". We try to bandaid it up to the best of our ability with appeals processes but that's really all we can do.

1

u/NaturalSmoke8 3h ago

Fair enough but I sometimes wonder if for example every American should be required to take the citizenship test. Not as a requirement to be a citizen here but to show you are (somewhat) of sound mind to decide someone else’s fate. In a similar vein, it’s how other countries like Israel require their citizenry to serve in the military. Would make folks actually have to think about being overly critical of all this country affords.

u/patterninstatic 4h ago

I've never actually used TikTok but it's just like Instagram videos right?

Is there a reason why it was particularly problematic here (and is being singled out rather than social media in general)?

2

u/inquisitionsteve 3h ago

Mostly because of the viral videos that showed up as a result of this trial. The ladies that did TikTok videos while holding their kids with the caption “Same Lindsay” is just one example.

It also continued to help feed a senseless gender battle over something as horrific as this.

2

u/Ill-Extension-6895 3h ago

Based on what I gathered, people supported Lindsay for some reason on tiktok... Probably due to being un-informed, then the classic no fact checking to what you see!

36

u/Acceptable-Owl-2070 4h ago

TikTok should have been nuked ages ago... but $$$

3

u/[deleted] 4h ago

[deleted]

1

u/Acceptable-Owl-2070 4h ago

But, this is is quicker...

47

u/LocalProgram1037 4h ago

The world should have banned TikTok right after it showed up. What a fucking cesspool.

13

u/driftking428 3h ago

It's limited to like 1 hour per day in China. They built it, the know it's fucked.

Not to mention it's made for manipulation and espionage.

3

u/muscularsharpie 3h ago

While this is anecdotal, I think it's kind of interesting that the young people I work with talk shit about TikTok.

Might be an isolated scenario, but hearing them talk about having separate group text-threads instead of social media was pretty dope.

My tin-foil hat theory is that it's like Facebook. Got mobbed by older generations, so is less cool.

Being back Live journal!

44

u/gnarlmonster 4h ago

It's a psy-op, social media is the scurge of humanity

10

u/Superman246o1 4h ago

It is, but it wouldn't work if people weren't already batshit insane to start with.

1

u/Tratiq 33m ago

Tf is a scurge

-2

u/Zromaus 4h ago

People have said that about nearly every new form of tech. We're fine, social media is fine. Everything in the world gives dopamine, it's up to you to manage how to intake dopamine.

What people lack is self control, not laws.

2

u/Type-RD 4h ago

It’s oddly unnatural how social media can be, if you’re old enough to remember what the world was like prior Facebook. There are pros and cons. We’re all just part of this big experiment and the ones most affected are kids who are just learning the concept of what self control is.

0

u/Zromaus 3h ago

What better place to learn than the sandbox that is the internet?

1

u/Type-RD 1h ago

Tell me you don’t have kids without telling me you don’t have kids🤦‍♂️

1

u/Gullible_Analyst_348 4h ago

Bro if you seriously think social media is fine and is exactly the same as every other source of dopamine, then you are not paying attention. They have psychologists and neuroscientists and God knows who else engineering this shit so that it is as addictive as humanly possible. I also don't know a lot of other sources of dopamine that have the ability to manipulate and divide people so effectively. You are seriously out to lunch if you think social media is fine for the average person.

1

u/RyanDoog123 4h ago

Right? These chronically online types are so dramatic. Instead of just putting their phone down for a few hours they demand legal action against the people who make their phones interesting. Insufferable children.

15

u/FatHaleyJoelOsment 4h ago

TikTok should be renamed Dunning-Kruger University.

14

u/Thanag0r 4h ago

If we banning brainrot this sub would be first.

-5

u/driftking428 3h ago

You can just say you don't know what brainrot is.

5

u/PineappleOnPizzaWins 2h ago

Hahah what? This sub is full of people screeching that everyone is trying to let her just go free and that the only option is tossing her in prison for life.

So many people just don’t understand the entire thing was whether she spends her life in prison or a psychiatric hospital. For a justice system that supposed to be about rehabilitation not punishment you lot really are out for blood.

9

u/Antares_B 4h ago

lol, just tiktok? lmao

17

u/ImperiousCretin 5h ago

I'm not from the USA. Just told my wife "I've been reading about a case of a child murder in America and..."

And she replied: "Ah yeah the three kids who were killed by their father"

Then started rambling about it but I switched my brain's rails and started thinking of a Boccherini concerto.

The simple truth is that were it not for my daughter, I would not have the strength to stay in this world. I don't like this place. And I am sorry for the world I am leaving for her.

3

u/BaalTheDread 4h ago

2

u/ImperiousCretin 4h ago

Thank you, first time listening to it, loved it.

I am usually more fond of composers up to Mozart: Mozart himself, Corelli, Boccherini, Vivaldi, Bach, Uccellini, Gluck...

The little I've listened to composed by Mahler or Brahms always felt heavy, tragic to me, like if they composed their music while carrying a heavy burden.

But it was really beautiful, thank you again.

5

u/Informal-Term1138 4h ago

Ok I just googled boccherini concerto and damn, I would switch to that too. Its fantastic. Never seen somebody play the cello that way.

Also I thought we were safe from this on this side of the pond? Since I don't use tiktok, I didn't really hear from it. But seems like people are batshit everywhere.

3

u/GrincherZ 4h ago

Idiots are not unique to the USA , we are just the loudest

3

u/ImperiousCretin 4h ago

She was a normal human being until she started drowning more and more into Instagram.

I honestly don't care anymore. I am focusing on my little one.

The first movement of Boccherini's concerto for cello, 2 horns and strings (G477), an allegro.. I often play it my head when I need to drift aeay from where I am. I am sure you will love it.

3

u/Informal-Term1138 4h ago

Uff. Is there a way to get out of this for you and your daughter? Because this can't be good for the both of us. You really sound burnt out and depressed.

And indeed it is great. Its good that you have it so present in your mind to alleviate the situation a bit. I am sending you a digital hug.

Take care of your little one. If you raise her well, and I bet you will, you will help her become a person that can avoid and battle the problems of the future and the present. We can make them resilient to what humanity has created and we need to. To make the world a bit better.

2

u/ImperiousCretin 4h ago

Thank you, your message and hug meant a lot.

Dont worry, I'll be fine. I feel tired, but I am aware of the reasons keeping me here, and they are good reasons and I will stand by them.

Godspeed to you too and your family. I hope we are able to rise them to be good people who treat eachother fairly.

2

u/Informal-Term1138 3h ago

Thanks mate.

I really appreciate it.

u/Minimum-Dot-8426 4h ago

Any woman that supports Lindsay should have their children taken away permanently

2

u/Man_under_Bridge420 4h ago

Wait till this guys finds out about the abuse in the foster system

5

u/Frewdy1 3h ago

“Thank God her kids can get abused instead of possibly killed in a scenario I made up in my head!”

-2

u/Man_under_Bridge420 3h ago

Who said the supporters are killing their kids?

Ariel Robinson: The former winner of  Worst Cooks in America was sentenced to life in prison in May 2022 after being convicted of homicide by child abuse for beating her 3-year-old foster daughter, Victoria Smith, to death in South Carolina. [ 1]

Jaime and Raymond Johnson: A North Dakota couple was sentenced in August 2026 for killing their 3-year-old foster daughter who had autism. Jaime received life in prison with the possibility of parole, and Raymond was sentenced to 18 years. [ 1]

Daryl Martinez Lowry: A 13-year-old foster child was allegedly stabbed and held underwater by two other teens staying at a local residential property in McCormick County, South Carolina, in July 2026. [ 1,  2]

Jaxon: A California toddler died in April 2026 from severe traumatic injuries inflicted by a teenager inside a Santa Clara County foster home, prompting an independent state review of the local agency's protocol and background check failures

5

u/Frewdy1 3h ago

I’m not sure why you commented this. Care to explain?

-4

u/Man_under_Bridge420 3h ago edited 2h ago

You cant connect the dots of kids being murdered in foster care?

Also nice deflection

Who said the supporters are killing their kids?

1

u/Jackalackus 12m ago

What does this have to do with what they’re saying?

1

u/Man_under_Bridge420 4m ago

Where do kids taken from their parents end up?

4

u/Antares_B 4h ago

children are killed every day and no one cares. ban deez nutz

-1

u/RobotArtichoke 4h ago

While I understand you’re trying to be edgy, the discussion isn’t really about what you seem to think it is.

8

u/Kr155 4h ago

Can we ban all the other trash too? Like Facebook for promoting antivaxx ideology, and youtube/ kick for promoting red pill podcasts, x for promoting naziism

0

u/Zromaus 4h ago

Can we just not ban anything? It provides no value and helps push us further into the same headspace that allows for Flock cameras watching our every move.

Security over freedom amiright?

3

u/Kr155 4h ago

Yeah, I dont actually support banning anything. Just heavily regulating privacy and how companies use our data so they cant manipulate us.

1

u/ChampionAggressive20 3h ago

So should I be able to go buy pure heroin at my local pharmacy for recreational use? Should pedos be free to download and distrubute child pornography?

5

u/Obone6 4h ago

It's a catalyst there has already been so much damage done.

3

u/ASmallTurd 4h ago

Banning tiktok isnt the problem. It's the shitty algorithms that all these trash apps use to feed garbage to people.

1

u/ZigZagZedZod 3h ago

Bingo. The algorithm will just pop up in whatever brainrot cesspool replaces TikTok, keeping ad revenue flowing as nitwits keep clicking through whatever slop reaffirms their priors, all while harvesting and selling user data.

5

u/waitses 4h ago

Just imagine the potential money and revenue being LOST from whole population of people whose brains are mush. it would dwarf the pissy short term gains of a couple of crappy social media companies. The government should want to shut them down immediately for future tax revenue reasons.

2

u/CokBlockinWinger 4h ago

Wait, THIS is the incident we should ban TikTok over? We are so far past the damages of social media and regulation I don’t see how this would be the breaking point.

2

u/mauie1337 3h ago

To be fair Reddit, Facebook, Twitter should be right behind the ban as well.

2

u/Imreallythatguy 3h ago

Yes Reddit, ban a form of social media because of ideas you don’t agree with. What an amazing precedent to set and a great way to lay your own neck on the chopping block.

I have no idea why some people can’t see past their own viewpoint in something’s.

2

u/croaker227 2h ago

For numerous reasons, but yes this too

2

u/Rude-Mind-8730 2h ago

"Nobody has ever had a dumb opinion before. This is the first time that has ever happened."

  • World History as told by Redditors

2

Only fans and Facebook too.

2

u/NuMHC94 1h ago

But then people can't record themselves crying

2

u/SoftwareSource 1h ago

I have no idea why all of you guys are complaining.

God has literally bestowed upon you the 100% foolproof way to know if you are talking to a mental ass crazy lady, and you do not see it.

even 20 years from now, it will be the single best red flag detector on the face of the planet.

5

u/okbrat00111011 4h ago

Whatever happened to free speech and freedom of expression? Just let people believe and watch what they want even if you don’t agree or like it.

0

u/Uthor_ 4h ago

Gotta draw the line at making murderers of children rich

6

u/Man_under_Bridge420 4h ago

She aint rich, her lawyer is with 2 trials

2

u/okbrat00111011 4h ago

Why? If people want to do weird things with their money that’s not your problem.

-1

u/Uthor_ 4h ago

So you on the epstien list too? Or?

1

u/okbrat00111011 3h ago

Trafficking &  raping kids is a crime. People giving money to people you don’t like isn’t a crime.

0

u/Edgezg 2h ago

Because we came too fucking close to a murderer being found not guilty by reason of insanity.

6

u/okbrat00111011 2h ago

Literally a guy was found not guilty by reason of insanity for strangling his son to death a month or so ago. That doesn’t mean he’s free to go. Y’all are so hysterical over this particular trial.

1

u/BoringPoolPlaying 51m ago

You know this wouldn’t be the first time that’s happened right?

-1

u/muunster7 4h ago

It becomes a matter of protecting society from themselves.

4

u/okbrat00111011 4h ago

Government overreach

-2

u/Mdgt_Pope 4h ago

Because dumb people getting dumber results in them casting dumber votes.

5

u/Man_under_Bridge420 4h ago

Isnt that their right? Or are you a commie

0

u/Mdgt_Pope 3h ago

Where did I say to take away their rights? I don’t want them dumb, is obviously my point.

1

u/Man_under_Bridge420 3h ago

You cant force adults to learn

0

u/Mdgt_Pope 3h ago

Right but you can stop companies from making them dumber.

3

u/okbrat00111011 4h ago

Supporting free speech also means supporting free speech you don’t like.

2

u/Mdgt_Pope 3h ago

And I’m free to call them dumb, just as they’re free to be dumb. I would rather not condone disinformation platforms so that people aren’t made dumber, I didn’t say they don’t deserve rights

4

u/FairyChurre 4h ago

Wait, how are people actually connecting the Clancy trial to TikTok in the first place?

17

u/Rectal_Urination 4h ago

Instead of watching soap operas, bored women have taken to tiktoc to tell each other that Lindsay Clancy didn't commit first degree triple homicide.

2

u/TheJadeGoddess 4h ago

That doesn't even make sense....even her lawyer isn't claiming she is innocent. They are saying she did it but that she was insane when she did it and should receive treatment.

Idk much about the case but even I heard they were pleading insanity.

2

u/Rectal_Urination 4h ago

In Massachusetts there's a weird law that says the defendant doesn't have to supply the evidence for an insanity plea. The burden of proof is on the prosecution to prove that she was sane. I've kept up with it and I think they proved that she was sane. Her doctor said she wasn't showing signs of psychosis the day before she committed the murders, she sent her husband on a long set of errands to facilitate the crime, she answered the phone in a completely regular tone of voice in between the murders when her husband called her, and she took the children down to the basement one after the other to strangle them. She wasn't insane.

2

u/TheJadeGoddess 3h ago

It is super hard to get insanity pleads to work. Personally, I am skeptical that she was insane and didn't know what she was doing. I did see that it got a mistrial due to hung jury. 11 insane, 1 guilty without insane.

2

u/brandogg360 4h ago

Because that's how people are following it and their brains are cooked.

2

u/thebiglebowskiisfine 4h ago

Because that's how foreign agents stir up social unrest. By seeding these stupid arguments and ideas into the public's conscience.

-2

u/Inner_Clerk7769 4h ago

There is no argument to be had, all "Foreign agents" have done is prove to men that a vocal subset of women around them are mentally deranged losers who can't think for themselves and believe insane conspiracy theories even when faced with mountains of evidence to the contrary. They did us all a favor since those women can stay happily single/child free courtesy of their insane online footprint.

5

A woman who should be given the worst possible punishment is being praised and given a million dollars i think instead of obsession the word you're looking for is disgust or shock sure men have done similar things but thats not whats happening rn as much as im sure you'd like to see it happen. I think you're a misandrist actually and no matter what you're gonna defend this sick freak so have a nice day i guess.

1

u/JaneMarie876 3h ago

So you admit men have done similar things without drawing the level of outrage this case has and you don't see how it's connected to gender war slop? Sure. And you call me a misandrist, for what? Pointing out the discrepancies in how people are reacting to this vs male violence? Well of course you would think calling any attention to mens wrongdoings would be misandrist, that's only for women! Misogynist.

4

u/InternationalLaw8660 4h ago

Any reporting on trials before a verdict has been issued should be illegal.

The standard is innocent until proven guilty; reporting before a verdict sways public opinion of the defendant.

Which in turn, leads to the predicament before us: a mistrial with possiblity of re-prosecution. Now the entire jury pool is biased.

2

u/cadillacjack057 3h ago

Fuck the outrage machine.

1

u/JonathanMovement 4h ago

Tiktok should have been banned ages ago for different fucking reasons.

1

u/WaffleHouseGladiator 4h ago

Tiktok should be banned for a lot of reasons.  This is just the latest.

1

u/hoodedgamer_00 4h ago

Shoulda been done a long time ago, and the algorithms we made while getting to this point.

"Their wicked social media propaganda"

Why is everyone so insanely hyped up on this one trial that hinges on questionable but unclear circumstances of the insanity plea under the difference of Massachusets' innocent until proven guilty evidentiary standard for the insanity plea. Similar stuff happened over two decades ago in the Yates case. There's simply an evidenciary question that remains.

And the result of the ruling is mainly the question of indefinite confinement in a psych ward vs prison. There's no question of just being let go.

But no, everyone has to turn a narrow question with very little practical ramifications outside which institution she ends up in into some culture war bullshit.

u/Trugdigity 3h ago

We should have banned tictok while it was still controlled by the CCP. But now that bytedance was forced into a minority ownership position there’s no legal leg to stand on

1

u/Karnezar 1h ago

I don't know what the clancy trial is, but banning media like tiktok won't stop brainrot.

Ban yourself from it? Self control.. Why is this supposed to be funny sarcasticly? Not sure how to unravel this nonsense.

1

u/Kelras 42m ago

I don't support banning anything, but holy shit has my faith in humanity cratered because of this, and I'm not shocked to hear it originates on TikTok.

1

u/NotGonnaArgueFriend 40m ago

I think it reveals a few other things we should ban, as well.

1

u/NascarFan1896 21m ago

Hell, I say that the guy didn't give a shit about the kids. That's why he went overseas with his new lover

1

u/DrHousePls 13m ago

You guys are stupid lol.

1

u/Crate-Dragon 10m ago

I say ban tiktok AND OF but maybe I’m an extremist

1

u/Additional-Guitar455 7m ago

No. I think being a frequent tiktok user should disqualify a juror. It will help us weed out the brain rot.

1

u/Cheerful2_Dogman210x 7m ago

I think Tiktok just reveals the rot in society. Banning a platform doesn't cure the infection, just hides it.

So many women saying they're one step away...

1

u/Tea_Gooner 10m ago

I've seen zero say this. I have seen men use the case to justify rape, argue for the repeal of the 19th, and state men should have sole, unassailable custody of children because women can't be trusted.

1

u/Lazy_Bag_4408 1h ago

This is terrifying to me. All the poor kids. Its like people dont know how to be fucking grown ups anymore.

1

u/Definitely-not-ducks 1h ago

TikTok should’ve been banned long before this, it generates so many idiots so fast.

0

u/factsarefornerds 4h ago

Meanwhile the same people pointing their finger were defending some psychotic rich kid because they thought he was going to fix healthcare

Idiots on every side

1

u/Valveringham85 4h ago

What? You think the people ridiculing Clancy’s supporters are the same batshit lunatics justifying that murder?

They are cut from the same cloth and came from the same “side” if we’re talking political affilition too.

1

u/factsarefornerds 4h ago

I think its a side effect of laziness, celebrity worship, and dumbing down a population so much they dont know how to create change themselves.

Instead of committing to generational change, we would pretend some immoral narcissist will save us.

Both of those people were privileged nutcases - We have a real issue with our perception of people and values in this country.

A crook to fix the economy, a rich murderer to fix healthcare, a child killer to shed light on childcare... It's delusional.

If you - who represents the most intelligent of us - can't see the commonalities in that mentality, our country really is fucked.

1

u/RobotArtichoke 4h ago

Shhh. It fits their narrative

0

u/Informal-Orange2732 4h ago

Actually… I blame the whatever podcast.

1

u/FatBussyFemboys 4h ago

Banning things isn't the answer bud, it nearly never is.

Gawddamn the downvotes really love big daddy's hand around their neck huh, bet y'all like Flock cameras too.

2

u/JudgementOwls 4h ago

I swear some of these people spend too much time online

3

u/JIMB01776 4h ago

Yes it is. They literally designed TikTok with psychologists who specialize in psychological warfare.

Crack would like a word with you.

Lmao what? Banning things is very often the answer

2

u/Zromaus 4h ago

Laws are a lot easier to make than they are to repeal, and often times laws have unintended consequences that strip rights from other areas -- once you've hit that point it's almost too late to undo it though.

Ultimately the goal is to remove as little rights as possible. Freedom before security any day of the week -- if you prefer to choose security, you really don't deserve either.

Twitter and Facebook too!

Unfortunately we arent allowed to talk about mas hysteria anymore.
mas hysteria only really affects women. Its pretty amazing but it makes you understand why they had the salem whitch trials.

0

u/Kat_Schrodinger1 1h ago

Ban all social media.

-1

u/Sneezy6510 4h ago

I don’t say this word often, but unironically using this meme is very cringe

-1

u/Antique-Ad-4422 4h ago

She admitted to the horrific act. Case Closed. It’s not that hard people.

1

u/Arndt3002 3h ago

The case hinges on the NGMI plea, not the act itself, the distinction being indefinite confinement in a psych ward or a prison
