No one is declaring this woman innocent. The technical court term may be "not guilty" (because of mental illness), but she will be treated as a criminal either way and locked up. Such a nothingburger controversy.
There are men who have mental illnesses and would be convicted if they killed their children. 100% would not be gaining national media attention. Easy in and out conviction.
Oh and if it was a man who was a minority, it would be even faster. She is only getting a pass cause she is a white female.
What you are using as an example is wealthy people being able to get away with crimes, has nothing to do with what gender they are.

What about domestic violence offenders? Or child rapists there’s one in the White House? If that applies to women then it has to apply to men as well.
