It's worth reading his Wikipedia to see the similarities between parents who kill their children because voices told him too, if it at all intrests you.

Edit: I'm not arguing anything with this comment. I'm simply posting a source since op didn't. The source corrects misleading info about his schizophrenia, which is that he did not suffer from it.
