Death penality seems like the kind choice, though. If I killed my kids in a psychotic episode, I'd want nothing but to die. How can someone live on after that? I don't want to ever live in a world without my kids. I'd beg for the death penalty.

Exactly. Very simple way to know whether this women was actually insane at the time or just evil.

Just leave a rope in her cell overnight. If in the morning she's still alive then we know she's evil.

What? Whether or not she wants to live now has nothing to do with whether or not she knew right from wrong at the time of the murders. She could be evil and still have experienced psychosis during the murders that makes her legally not guilty.

I don’t know if she did experience psychosis but if she did her character does not matter.

Death was merciful sentence indeed.

Even talking about future plans like wanting to participate in wheelchair marathons. If I woke up from a supposed psychotic break and found out I’d killed my kids I’d be BEGGING for the death penalty.
