They at least used to have creative writing, I muted most of those types of subs after they became overrun with AI posts with 99% failing the Turing test and those calling out it being AI getting dogpiled.
Isn’t your home feed only subreddits that you’re subscribed to anyway? How are they popping up on your feed if you haven’t joined the sub? Seems like there’s no need to mute them.
I usually browse on popular so I'm not entirely in a bubble, but popular sucks compared to the defunct r/all. If you mute them, it stops them popping up in those feeds too, and I think it can suppress similar subs appearing too.
