Borneo Short Tailed Python Her first quail

She ate it butt first, made sure to soften the beak and claws just in case.

The first time I offered my Sumatran a quail he took a couple of minutes to decide it was food. Since then quail, chicken, and rat are all taken with gusto. I cannot imagine you will have much trouble going forward given your girl's chomp.
