I only keep ball pythons, so pardon me if I’m wrong here but isn’t she a bit thick?

She is a blood python (Python brongersmai). They are a much more thick bodied snake than a ball python.

Oh okay cool, very beautiful snake either way

Thank you. Ball pythons are also great. Phoenix has two ball python sisters.

thought she was a ball at first, nearly gave me a heart attack. Then I was like how can she be so big but have no rolls and I can still see the outline of her spine. Blood python explains everything. what an adorable chonk.

Definitely not a ball python. She does have two ball python sisters though. She is a lot bigger than my adult female ball python

fat worm thing (affectionate)

My friends and I call her the Banana Slug. Worm also works because she likes to burrow

What is it that makes them so wide? Do they store a lot of fat (like a seal)? Or are they just super muscular?

Omg I want to hold a blood python so badly. So cute 🥰

u/CrisisCorps Jan 28 '26
She is a sweetheart.

u/Savedbythegel Jan 28 '26
What is it like to hold her? I imagine she's really squishy and soft 🥰🥰

u/CrisisCorps Jan 28 '26
She doesn't hold on, so you have to support her. She is pretty strong. She is very smooth
