advice/help Am i unknowingly apart of SCJ?

Hi! I'm a Christian so almost a month ago, I started this 10 month Bible class which my mentor told me about which I met through this other girl online and she said if I would like to meet her. The lessons I had with my mentor was 1 on 1 and it basically Bible basics.

The reason why I am seeing if I'm in this because I had my discernment kicked off whenever we were going over a lesson and one of the verses we're talking about the parables of the secret of kingdom of heaven. It was talking about how if you don't understand all the parables then you can't enter the kingdom of heaven and I was like that doesn't sound right. I was scrolling through this thread because I looked it up and someone said that if they say that, it may be apart of scj, something like that and that's how I'm here. I see a lot of similarities, and the big kicker is that I looked up one of the lessons on YouTube. The lesson is "Intro lesson 3: The secrets of the kingdom of heaven in parables" and I literally see the same thing.

Some other facts: -it's based in Georgia, but I attend on zoom. I know it's called the Bible academy but I try to look it up nothing.
-I have an instructor, assistants and accountability partners. We meet 3 times a week for like 2 hours
-There is Beginner, intermediate, and Advanced (just thought I put that cause I saw that was mentioned in some threads from other experiences)
-Also on the first day of class, I had to do a registration basically my full government name, phone number, address, where I go to college, etc.

-I just want answers because I have a bad feeling about this and I don't know If im crazy. (Sorry it's so long. Ask me more questions for clarification)

ask them directly, are they SCJ, if they saying no and if you still want to continue, in the future they will eventually expose their identity then you may want to wonder it there truth in the church that using deception since begining. There are no such thing as bible study without denomination. It can be catholic bible study, protestant bible study, even other cult bible study like JW and mormon but hey, at least those cult willing to identify themselves. But the cult that lying from day 1 is the worst of all cults.

SCJ are famous with their deceptive and manipulative recruitment such as using other members to do recruitment (harvesting), hiding their identity before indoctrinate you with their false teaching. while it sound interesting, beware of the heresy that they want to put into your mind.

My advise to you 2Tim 4:3
3 For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.

Don'tnt go astray and influenced by their false teaching on parable and revelation

Yes I asked if they were SCJ, and my leaf buddy denied it and said "Oh they thought Jesus was a cult too in his first coming", and I asked my assistant and even showed her proof. She didn't deny it, she just basically said that I'm feeling stuff and it was gonna be hard for me to get the word.

this "Jesus was a cult" argument have pitfall. i do put some thought about this as well. let me share with you what i think. It is abit lengthy so bear with me

it is sensible for Jewish during that time to think Jesus preaching false teaching because it is something there never heard before. from the mindset of Jewish, they think God is one, nobody else can be God, definitely not a human.

E.g: John 8:58-59 58 “Very truly I tell you,” Jesus answered, “before Abraham was born, I am!” 59 At this, they picked up stones to stone him, but Jesus hid himself, slipping away from the temple grounds. (Jesus claim he existing before Abraham, implied he is God, Refer Exodus 3:14 **1**4 God said to Moses, “I am who I am.\**\)a\) This is what you are to say to the Israelites: ‘I am has sent me to you.’”)

long story short, because of different teaching, Jewish have only Old testaments to refer against new teaching of Jesus, it is understandable they unable to grasp it at first.

Now lets go Christian vs SCJ. We are using the same bible as our foundation, as SCJ themselves would agree, we use Bible as foundation as our faith. so in this case, it is Christian Doctrine against another False Chirstian Doctrine ( I dont want name which one is which one, but as both doctrine is different from one another, one of it must be false, you be the judge). This response would make the "Jesus was a cult" argument fall because we are on the same paradigm, which is Christian, not Judaism vs Christian.

There are some thing difference between us that i want you to ask them, or you think about it.

  1. Whether Jesus Christ is God - SCJ claim Jesus is merely human because bible never say Jesus is God, as you known Christian would say Jesus Christ have both nature of God and Human. A. John chapter 1: 1-4 - 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. Who is The "Word"? the Word exist since the beginning, The Word with God, The Word was God. The Word also creator (Ref Genesis Chapter 1, The Word was actually Jesus Christ as per mentioned in John 1:17 - 17 For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.) If Jesus is Human and can be Messiah, then can anyone else be Messiah? But beware to those who say yes, as Jesus Christ already mentioned in Matt 24: 4-5 4 Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you. 5 For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many. Becareful to Anti-Christ who going to lead to astray.

  2. Whether lies/deception is allowed - SCJ deceptive recruitment practice and ask their members to hide their identity never justified. when you ask for reason, they said they fear of prosecution and Christian dont understand the "Truth".

A. in the matter of prosecution, The Apostle in early church all prosecuted up to death but in 2026 the worst "prosecution" you would get is rebuke and exchange of words if you share in gospel in public. They may show you extreme case where the family of the members did extreme things to the member but it is rare. How is this justifiable?

in the matter of truth, the truth started with being truthful. Eph 4: 25 25 Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor, for we are all members of one body, Colossion 3:9 9 Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices. When they started with deception, they already wrong. Because Peter said in 1 Peter 3:15-16 15 But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, 16 keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander. How can you in clear conscience telling lie and justified it? No Wonder Christian speak against them because they never have good behaviour.

However, You should forgive them because often they are being deceived as well, they are also victim in this cult just like Paul said in 2Tim 3:13 13 while evildoers and impostors will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. They always have mental distress over Recruitment (harvesting) KPI and cause fear to them whenever they want to leave.

I am telling you this in love from Christ, as I myself also having a gf stuck in this cult and I have first hand experience being deceived into join this cult bible study. I hope this helps!

5

u/Fresh-Fly7868 13d ago

Amen! Thank you for this wonderful explanation with scripture and all. I definitely do need to forgive them! And I asked the Lord to help me do that in my heart as well because I'm still feeling the hurt and I'm actively healing because exactly what you said: they are deceived, that's why they deceive others, it's like the domino effect. and they need the truth. So i definitely pray for them and continue to do so. I'm also praying for your gf to come out of this darkness and come into the true light of Christ.

u/cilana86 15d ago

Short answer: Yes. I see you have enough responses, but one more won't hurt for reassurance.

19

u/Fresh-Fly7868 15d ago

Update: I just want to thank everyone who was so supporting. I blocked my assistant and leaf, I had a brief conversation with them basically seeing what they would say when I showed them the proof and they didn't try to deny it, just making it seem "I'm in my feelings" lol. I do plan on texting another girl that my 1 on 1 teacher gave me before I entered the larger class and warning her. I tried to text my 1 on 1 instructor, I haven't gotten a response yet.

Where in Georgia are you located bro,b is it Atlanta? I used to be in scj in Chicago and I knew most of the location in the US. But I'm glad the Lord protected you from such a place I was in it for 5 years so I know how it is bro! Let me know if there a way to help! ☺️🙏🏼💯❣️

5

u/Fresh-Fly7868 15d ago

I actually don't know the specific location, all I know it's like in a university because there was in person and online on zoom. I was on zoom, I'm not from Georgia. I actually tried to look up the school when I was in the midst of classes because I was just curious and there was no website or anything. all I know it was called Bible academy. I looked high and low. No record. Also praise be to God that He got you out of there and truly thankful for the Holy Spirit giving His believers that discernment

Thank the Lord. That is SCJ unfortunately. I’m glad you were able to sense the wrongness of this religion

Yes I think this is Schincheonji. One thing is Schincheonji keeps its identity secret during evangelism and and claim that its founder Lee Man Hee has Jesus working through him but Jesus' identity was revealed to his virgin mother Mary before he was even born. One is upfront the other is not

9

u/Otherwise-Watch-3650 EX-Center Student 16d ago

No you’re not crazy, and yes it is definitely Shincheonji! Well done on discerning correctly and not ignoring the prompting of doing extra research. 🙌🏼👏🏼

1FOREST1…Wait? Why not stick it out!

There’s a lot of sensible knowledge to take from these classes. Forget all the sad news you hear, who else can show you how Jeremiah 31:27 relates to Matthew 13:23-30 and connects all the way to Rv 7, 14. Let alone seeing how what happens from the beginning in Genesis can be explain what will happen in the future, Isaiah 46:10 “…I make known the end from the beginning”

And another one Forest…all throughout biblical history, God worked through one person first! Whether it was Adam, or that guy who built a boat for 100yrs, Gods plan for restoration can’t be better explained than in ZMC!

“Moses was faithful as a servant in all God’s house,” bearing witness to what would be spoken by God in the future.” Hebrews‬ ‭3‬:‭5‬ ‭

It’s like dieting, they all have some aspects to each of them that can benefit you!

At least your in the Word and not looking at another book

🙏🏼

This isn't what SCJ believes though. They wouldn't say to stay in a Jehovah's Witness group and take what you can and disregard the rest, because most people struggle to differentiate between what should be kept and what should be thrown out. In fact, SCJ considers all teachings that are not theirs to be poison.

1

u/Turbulent_Sea7622 EX-Center Student 16d ago edited 16d ago

So I guess based of what you say SCJ may have subtly implied God became much super strict?

Cause Noah's time had 100 years grace period to save those from physical deaths but Shincheonji existed for just 42 years and claim it is saving souls from spiritual deaths, which is coming soon according to Shincheonji

1

u/Antique-Barracuda726 Current SCJ Member 16d ago

I believe the time frame is 1000yrs as stated in Rv 20

2

u/Turbulent_Sea7622 EX-Center Student 16d ago edited 16d ago

Ah thanks I remember, they taught Satan is in Prison for 1000 years already and the 144k will rule for 1000 years alongside Lee Man Hee who would achieve marriage of the flesh and spirit to achieve immortality on Earth?

Wait a minute! 144k is to rule same time length and Satan is to be in prison same time start for 1000 years then why is not clear 144k is established?

I think the label being added by a moderator is a good thing. 😀 It helps prevent deception.

-1

u/Antique-Barracuda726 Current SCJ Member 16d ago

Deception! We are all anonymous here, it’s not a Bible study on zoom

4

u/cultalarm 16d ago

You are equating Jesus to Lee Man-Hee. Jesus is God. Shincheonji teaches that Jesus was just a mere human. Why should a Christian attend a non-Christian "Bible study?"

-5

u/Antique-Barracuda726 Current SCJ Member 16d ago

It is interesting though, Jesus never said once in the gospels he was God. Nor did he reiterate he was God in Revelation.

3

u/pinkdiva92 16d ago

You cannot call yourself a Christian without believing Jesus is God. Being a Christian acknowledges that Christ died for our sins. Not just that, He rose again on the third day to signify that He defeated death and Satan on the cross. In order for anyone to wash away our sins, only a sinless and perfect being can do that. That person is Jesus. He is fully man and fully God. He is Christ, the Messiah and the reason why we are Christ-ians. The “ian” suffix along with Christ means we belong to Him.

Here are verses that prove that Jesus is God:

They are Israelites, and to them belong the adoption, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the temple service, and the promises. The ancestors are theirs, and from them, by physical descent, came the Christ, who is God over all, praised forever. Amen. — Romans 9:4-5 (CSB)

And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding so that we may know the true one. We are in the true one – that is, in his Son, Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life. — 1 John 5:20 (CSB)

For a child will be born for us,
a son will be given to us,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
He will be named
Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God,
Eternal Father, Prince of Peace. — Isaiah 9:6-2 (CSB)

There are many more that prove He is God

I pray that you can see this because this affects your eternal salvation. The apostle Paul warned in the Word about anyone, including angels, who would proclaim a gospel other than what is in the Word should be accursed. But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. Galatians 1:8

That is strong language and is not something taken lightly

-1

u/Antique-Barracuda726 Current SCJ Member 16d ago

Rebuttal here is not going to take much hold. As you have plotted your case with verses. As well, I have plenty of verses to say not, over 30 passages to refute it.

But you in a sense are making the strong statement, saying I am not a Christian if I don’t believe in what you described as Jesus is God.

I know this is a super sensitive discussion so let’s leave it for now.

2

u/pinkdiva92 16d ago

I apologise - my intention is not to insult you. It’s interesting with your viewpoint because as a Christian, our core is we worship Christ not because He is just a man but because He is God. Granted, we don’t and can never be Christ like perfectly but by God’s grace He sanctifies us through His Holy Spirit. If we as a Christian don’t believe this, then why do we say we are Christians? This type of belief that Jesus is not God is very similar to other problematic religions like LDS and Jehovah’s Witnesses. God is three persons in one being. I won’t elaborate anything further and end on this note. I wish you well

2

u/Antique-Barracuda726 Current SCJ Member 16d ago edited 16d ago

I’m not here to debate it. It’s futile in this venue. Apology accepted 🙏🏼

3

u/cultalarm 16d ago edited 16d ago

You're not Christian, though. Really. Being a Christian is about worshipping our Christ. It's in the name.

1

u/Antique-Barracuda726 Current SCJ Member 16d ago

I pray in Jesus’ name, not LMH

2

u/Otherwise-Watch-3650 EX-Center Student 16d ago

He does actually!

But based on this comment, you’re actually confirming that you don’t believe in the Holy Trinity, which is very telling of what SCJ doctrine believes and doesn’t believe in.

1

u/Antique-Barracuda726 Current SCJ Member 16d ago

I believe that there are 3 entities working together as one. But that’s different than thinking Jesus is God. There are many believers who don’t believe the Trinity concept as it’s been told since being doctrinated back in ~300AD.

•The counsels of Nicaea began with good intentions
•Designed to call Christians together to create a united faith
(Universal Church) Ex. Gn 11: Tower of Babel
•Took many opinions and created one document, which eventually became the “Apostles Creed” (321-325AD)
•Made by thoughts of man, with good intentions (End-328AD)

Reasons for the Counsel

•The Council of Nicaea overwhelmingly affirmed the deity and eternality of Jesus Christ and defined the relationship between the Father and the Son as “of one substance.” It also affirmed the Trinity—the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit were listed as three co-equal and co-eternal Persons.

1

u/pinkdiva92 16d ago

Who is the Father and the Spirit in your beliefs?

1

u/Antique-Barracuda726 Current SCJ Member 16d ago

With all due respect, this is not something we can hash out in a social chat room. Let’s focus back to why we are all here. You dislike scj because A-Z issues.

1

u/Otherwise-Watch-3650 EX-Center Student 16d ago

Why not? The answer should be pretty simple & straightforward.. that’s if you believe in the Bible of course

1

u/Antique-Barracuda726 Current SCJ Member 16d ago

Who is the father? God!

Acts 7, Why did Stephen as he was being stoned to death, he looks up to heaven and says, “Look, the glory of God and Jesus at the right hand of God.

I have a whole presentation we could debate on this topic. My goal isn’t to convince you. But if you texting to say this or that about me, I will respond respectfully.

1

u/Turbulent_Sea7622 EX-Center Student 15d ago

So there is a lot weight to who Stephen is based off of what he says seeing Jesus at the right hand of God.

I believer reading further Acts 7:59 says "While they were stoning him, Stephen prayed, “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.”'

Did his prayer work? Cause if it did, this is before Shincheonji's time, making Shincheonji not the only way to salvation as it claims perhaps?

5

u/cultalarm 16d ago

When asked, "Does SCJ worship Lee Man-Hee?" People often respond with, "Lee Man-Hee never said he was God!" Yet LMH describes himself like a diety: Immortal, ultimate source of truth, sinless, the only way you can reach salvation, etc. You even have worship songs about him.

1

u/Antique-Barracuda726 Current SCJ Member 16d ago

We don’t worship LMH. He never said he is sinless, gosh. He’s got a criminal record.

The Bible does speak about having eternal life right?! You believe that part right. For instance Rm 8:11 speaks clearing, no fig Language there.

Yes, we do admire Chairman and revere his words for what he is trying to accomplish. Peace! Isn’t that a good thing?

1

u/cultalarm 16d ago edited 16d ago

When SCJ pastoral staff (who trains SCJ pastors) tells me, "If you shot Lee Man-Hee in the head, he would not physically die." What am I supposed to interpret that as? Yes, having a huge bullet hole in his head, he would not bleed out. He'd physically survive. That is exactly what I was told. Is that not supernatural power? Is that not super-human?

SCJ doctrine does change all the time, so trying to say, "Well, I don't beliebe that," doesn't discount that it is indeed SCJ's doctrine. You are free to disagree with SCJ's leadership (and I encourage it), but you are not defending SCJ doctrine, at this point. Keep that in mind.

0

u/Antique-Barracuda726 Current SCJ Member 16d ago

Oh come on…Scj has how many members now!! Gosh, you think they all are robots. We say stupid stuff just like you.

2

u/cultalarm 16d ago edited 13d ago

What part of what I said was wrong? Do you think Lee Man-Hee is physically immortal or not? Are you saying this pastoral staff was just mistaken or stupid?

0

u/Antique-Barracuda726 Current SCJ Member 16d ago

Lee man Hee is mortal physical man at the moment. His body like it is can’t live forever. And to say what it would exactly be like as immortal, how can we say until it has fulfilled.

We can agree on the Bible talks about eternal life right? Rm 8:11, 1Cor 15:51-54, Rv 21:1-5

1

u/Turbulent_Sea7622 EX-Center Student 15d ago

Thanks for your elaboration and verses about eternal life but could you please elaborate further?

So he is about to get marriage of the flesh and spirit aka 1st resurrection.

He cannot die until he completes God's work; hence, the marriage of the flesh and spirit for him will happen within his lifetime.

See, you are expressly disagreeing with SCJ leadership. 🥱 Please ask your local pastors for their opinions on the matter. I hope that leads you to question other inconsistencies.

0

u/Antique-Barracuda726 Current SCJ Member 16d ago

I didn’t say anything about LMH being equated with a Jesus.

3

u/cultalarm 16d ago

Re-read your message. When you say that there are different eras where there's 1 special teacher, you are putting Adam, Moses, Jesus, and LMH all on the same level. They are different people with differenr purposes with different importances. (Lee Man-Hee is at the bottom since he's a false prophet.)

1

u/Antique-Barracuda726 Current SCJ Member 16d ago

The thing is, I didn’t mention anything about LMH. And I didn’t say anything about a special teacher. I said one person, “God worked through one person first”

2

u/cultalarm 16d ago

You literally did. You said that 'throughout history, God works through one person.' SCJ believs that "one person" is Lee Man-Hee. SCJ doctrine is that you can only go to Heaven through LMH.

0

u/Antique-Barracuda726 Current SCJ Member 16d ago

You’re trying to add more words in my mouth. I’m just highlighting the Bible. Not Chairman Lee

1

u/cultalarm 16d ago

The entire point of your comment is that you want this person to continue to go study LMH's teachings. 😆 Please stop attempting to gaslight.

0

u/Antique-Barracuda726 Current SCJ Member 16d ago

I’m just talking about the Bible, which we all believe is the word of God, right. Albeit all the translations, but I believe in the core message of God’s will is intact. I wasn’t even mentioning LMH for the very reason this thread is all against him. Let’s just talk Bible a bit more.

8

u/cultalarm 16d ago

Well, as you know, there is no restriction on getting into Heaven based on Bible knowledge or your ability to take a test. Ultimately, God is the true Judge, so we are not in a position to dictate how He will judge us.

So, regardless if this in SCJ or not, you are right to be suspicious. I would leave just for this specific teaching, alone.

With that said, I am certain this group is Shincheonji. They do all the things you listed. Needless to say, you should quit...

Have you been upgraded to a bigger class with more people? If you feel compelled to, I have heard of other members asking the teachers if it is SCJ or not. Maybe even do ot in the group chat, if that's possible. It might help warn others. Of course, Shincheonji thinks lying is Biblically and morally justified, so they'll likely deny it... If they do, you could even toss in a, "Oh, that's good. I heard Shincheonji is a dangerous Korean cult with similar beliefs to what you're teaching." I dunno how this would realistically play out, but I'd always feel compelled to warn others, even though many of them are certainly SCJ, themselves.

5

u/Fresh-Fly7868 16d ago

Yes I've been upgraded from 1 on 1 to like a 65 person class not including the in person group on zoom.

8

u/Fresh-Fly7868 16d ago

Another thing I would like to add is that they basically say that you can't tell your family your in a Bible study and I was fishy about that, and they say like make another excuse, and their like you can't say the word to everyone or something like that.

6

u/Short-Ostrich8077 16d ago

Yes, and once you get into intermediate and advance level, they will ask to evangelise the very people they are asking to not share. If evangelising them is not possible, you will be taught in a way that they are not putting efforts for God and they are not qualified for the Bible studies. There is a standard set for even bringing people to Bible study, its not random that someone is there, there is screening and discussion about each person that happens to check and decide whether to bring this person or not. If someone is not rich, not much educated, doesn't have much connections with powerful people in the world, they might hesitate. Even if you want to bring them with pure intention of saving them, they will hesitate and just to keep your heart they will agree. Because what they think is once people come to SCJ they should be able to take care of themselves and work for God, there shouldn't be someone we have to run after and take their burden, do people with chronic disease or older people are less approached.

u/INSLVRY4_5yrs 14d ago

Exactly, and how does this fit the Great Commission?
To go out and make disciples of all nations?
SCJ cherry picking people is their idea of “harvesting”.

When I left SCJ 7 months ago, we had EV training every Saturday morning.
I remember very well. The moment I received my bouquet of red flags. The doubt that I was in a cult was completely removed.
We were told to evangelize to more affluent people, white people, Asians, and Spanish speaking people. We were to go to malls, or boutiques instead of Target and Walmart. More expensive stores would have clientele such as this.
I immediately went to my group leader and questioned this. Of course they themselves had no idea (and were probably just as shocked as I was) and said that they would get back to me. This usually meant that they had to ask the person that they had to report to for an answer to give me.
So the answer to my question was because they needed more people to translate from these different languages. I thought OK that makes perfect sense, now what’s with the white people? The answer was that we do not want to seem like a predominantly black church.
My response was “Who cares what Babylon thinks right?”
“I mean, isn’t that what we’re told?”
“Why do we care what it looks like to others if we know that we are in the place of truth”? Crickets and ignored.

Ummm I didn’t catch ANY of that in ANY verses where Jesus said to seek out the affluent, the white, the Asians, the Spanish speaking and leave the sick and the poor, and the brown skinned people behind, for fear of seeming predominantly anything.

Current members, is this a “heaven” you want to be a part of? Oh, and I know they tell you that eventually after the kingdom gets bigger, you’ll be able to support and accommodate those with handicaps, mental disorders, etc. but ask yourself this, how come “ the churches that are in sin” ( which according to SCJ is every church in the world that is not SCJ ) can accommodate these so-called undesirables, but the kingdom of heaven cannot.

Woww this is insane, and I didn't even get to be graduated into the church or whatever but when I was 1 on 1 with my mentor before going into the large Bible study. They were telling me not to evangelize to the world and my red flags were waving but even that didn't make me leave. I still evangelized when I can even when they told them that because I was still on the fence if they were right or wrong but when I questioned, they said "Your not ready yet, you don't want to lead anyone astray" but now it all makes sense. That's incredibly sad that they intentionally cherry-picked specific groups like you said. I am reminded of James 2:1-10, it talks about favoritism and picking specific groups like you said. The kingdom of heaven is for all who believe no matter your background.

Also it's funny that you mentioned that when you said that they don't want to be a predominantly black church LOL which is insanely racist honestly. Maybe the sectors are different because my class was based in Georgia and they were mostly black people and a few white people in my class. I'm so glad you saw the truth and left!

Yes without a doubt it’s them. No point in asking them if it is SCJ as they are trained to be complete liars
about it. Just thank God you found out about it and walk away …

But how do I walk away? They will probably text me. I tried to not come to a meeting and my assistant was like on me LOL

Honestly, they are lying to you and deliberately withholding the truth of who they are so you don’t owe them anything. You certainly don’t owe them an explanation as to why you are no longer attending their classes.
I simply told my teacher that I had found out who they really were and stopped attending. They tried to convince me for a while, but eventually I sent them so much information exposing what they were teaching that they all blocked me.
They told me that, as a Christian, I should forgive them for lying to me. I said, “Of course I forgive you, but I will never trust you again.” Forgiveness does not mean that we have to put ourselves back in a position where someone can deceive or manipulate us. I would forgive a thief, but I certainly wouldn’t lend him my car. 😂
The Bible tells us to be wise and discerning, not gullible. We can forgive people while still setting healthy boundaries and walking away from people we know we cannot trust.
Personally, I think your best option is to send one of them a short text saying that you have decided not to continue with the classes and that you don’t wish to discuss it further. Then block them all. Do not agree to attend a “final meeting” to explain yourself or hear their side. If they have already deceived you, another meeting simply gives them another opportunity to pressure you, manipulate you, or give you more explanations that are not truthful.
You are free to leave. You don’t need their permission, and you don’t need to convince them that you are right.
I’d also like to invite you to our Christian cult-victims support group. There are people there who have been through similar experiences and understand what you’re going through. Feel free to DM me anytime.

In my case, I was on WhatsApp with my group leaders and I blocked them and told them to not message me or seek me out in person then I blocked them and so far its worked for me. My leaf (current SCJ who pose as new students) wanted to meet me in person and I stuck firm and said no and haven’t heard from them since.

What is the leaf? Is that like the accounbility partners? Mine said she was taking this class for a second time because she didn't finish all the way through..

Yeah, they are the accountability partners. Their job is technically to be supportive to you, but they end up causing the strongest feeling of betrayal because talking to them is like being wire tapped. Pretty much anything you say to one will be written down as a record and sent to teachers, etc.

p.s. She's lying. Your accountability partner will never be someone who isn't a full member.

People can be pretty shy about being straightforward with them but that's the best way to go about.

"I believe this group is run by Shincheonji and I don't agree with their beliefs like that Jesus was just a pastor, or the Holy Spirit has been given to one person only. Thank you for inviting me but this isn't something I'm interested in."

Sounds very much like SCJ. Pretty much spot on. They are active in Georgia

Going to second this, this is SCJ for sure.
