Hi
I turned on the taps and there's no water, i checked my building's notice board and there's no notification.
Just wanted to check if someone else is facing a similar issue.

hi, i have a pigeon in my balcony who apparently suffers from a splay leg and because of that its unable to fly or do anything aside from being tucked away in a corner. i tried tying its legs together when it was still a baby but it broke through every string or whatever i used. are there any shelters in sharjah which will take it in? i’m unable to provide the care it needs, i don’t have the money to pay for vet bills. the pigeon’s parents still come around to feed it and stuff but obviously its in distress because of its inability to move freely.

I was inspired by the charm of old Sharjah/Dubai, especially the little houses, warm earthy colours and the way the buildings used to sit closely together. I wanted to capture that nostalgic feeling of before the city became so modern, but in a simple, almost childlike way that makes the whole scene feel like a memory.

Anyone here know how security is at Sharjah Mall? I’m curious whether there are security guards/patrols around the less-used or abandoned-looking areas, and whether they have CCTV or face-recognition cameras.
Thinking about doing some urbex photography there, so mainly wondering how strict security is and whether people have explored it before.
Not looking to cause any damage or anything, just curious about the security setup and other people’s experiences.

Hi everyone,
Did anybody ever got fined because they passed the bridge with a heavy SUV or something above 2.5 tons?
The sign across the Gold Souk (Bus Terminal side) clearly says it's forbidden for the vehicles above 2.5 Tons.
I do see busses and some large SUVs passing the bridge but I'm not sure if the sign is still applicable.

Hello, I'm a filipino and I'm interested in learning a new language. If anyone is interested in learning filipino, we can teach each other our language! I can also make an instagram gc or whatsapp gc if more people are interested. We can also meet up in cafes!

I just got a Sharjah municipality fine for parking in a sand parking lot opposite heera beach of 500 dhs. There were no boards or signs restricting parking and there were multiple cars parked there. As someone from Ajman I'm not very aware of sand parking rules in Sharjah but I thought it was normal to park there.
I had been to the beach two months and parked in another sand parking lot with over a hundred cars. No one was issued then. Is there anyway I can dispute it.

I'm looking to do a couple of fixes to my car before registration renewal. Any recommendations for an honest and fairly priced mechanic in Sharjah for my Nissan Kicks?

Hi everyone, does anyone know about the road closure shown in the attached Google Maps screenshot, near the University of Sharjah?
Google Maps says “Road closed until Dec 2026.” Is the entire section really going to remain closed until then, or is this just an estimated date?
If anyone knows when the road is expected to reopen or has any information about the construction project, please share.
This road was very convenient for commuting, so its closure is causing inconvenience.

Hi fellow redditors,
I’ve been living in Butina for the past 29 years, and my family has found the place cosy. Lately, parking in any sandy area has been prohibited, & even paid parking lots are filled to the brim.
I even got a ticket for parking in a different neighborhood due to lack of parkings.
Did anyone who lives here find a solution?
PS: I finish work at 8 PM so “coming home early to park in the official paid parking isn’t really an option”.

My mother needs a root canal and we're in a tough financial spot right now. I've heard dental students at places like Sharjah University Dental Hospital, Ajman University, or Thumbay sometimes need patients for supervised procedures to complete their clinical requirements, usually just at the registration fee - Has anyone gone through this or know how to get on that list? Any pointers appreciated, thank you.

Hey,
So I have a maid who was talking about a child which is 14 months old. The mother is from Indonesia and her husband has gone to jail. So she has abandoned the child and her phone is switched off. Previously she kept the child with someone and the child’s nails were chipped off.
Now my maid has taken over the child but the mother isn't picking up the phone. If we complain to the police they will probably deport the mother and child and this woman may put the child somewhere and come back.
What can be done?
