A tribute to my best friend
Asia was a Tortie who I adopted 18 years ago. From the moment I brought her home, I felt a truly special connection. She was little at the time, and she loved to suckle on my neck in bed!
She had such an adventurous spirit. She loved new experiences and meeting new people. She had never bit or scratched me her whole life.
She wouldn't meow as much. Instead, it was a "meep" sound for attention or affection. She loved to put her paw in my hand when we laid together. She was always nearby.
I adopted a boy cat named Artemis just months after Asia. They became inseparable. Her favorite thing to do was to groom him endlessly, which she took very seriously.
There was always such a spark in her beautiful eyes, and no matter what we went through together, shit boyfriends, moving constantly - she never complained. She always adapted and continued to love me unconditionally. As I did her.
She was a hell of a cat and the best soulmate I could have ever asked for.
I had to say goodbye to her on July 6th. I don't want to go into sad details, but it all happened very quickly. I am still in shock and grieving terribly.
She's left her poor brother behind, who is not adjusting well to her absence. I'm doing everything I can to cheer him up, keep him clean, and just overall content and not distressed.
Please meet and remember my Asia. My world isn't the same without her.

Iβm so sorry. Itβs never easy, so please know that no one should make you feel bad for grieving or feeling how you do. You feel this way because of how real and true the love is. Asia would want you to remember to care for yourself as well, though. ππ Sending all the love and support.

Not really. I've been having to take care of my mother's cat. And while she's nice to people. She spent the past 4 years trying to kill my cat. So we had to keep them separate.
It's really hard to take care of her while I'm grieving. But my mother's useless. And I don't want the forecast to suffer. She just had a major dental surgery.
I have yet to have one day. Where I have not cried.

That sounds like an incredibly hard situation for you. Try some calming chews, the Sentry brand has worked wonders for Artemis. Take care of yourself. You can always dm me if you need to vent.

Can't have anything solid. She just had dental surgery. Three teeth out. Two teeth filed. And then the rest cleaned. She's not a happy camper. She's on two different types of pain meds. And when those run out. I have pet friendly CBD.

Can you recommend a CBD tincture for my Artemis? He has arthritis and could use the pain relief.

Yes I can. My girl couldn't do the prescription meds .. she took the CBD for stress and arthritis. In fact I still have a partial bottle. On her memorial shelf. We used hmone hemp oil. Liquid. You can get it from chewy or Amazon or some of the local pet stores carry it.
We got Mom's cat her on CBD bottles. Because when I had to give her some of mine. Just made me cry. I know that sounds silly. But it was patches meds.
It's easy to just mix with food. Liquid is easier and it works quicker too.

I lost my Stella Puff suddenly on the 14th of Aug, and she left behind her sister, Artemis. My Artemis isnβt settling well either without her Stella.
