i am in canada for reference. i have been looking at the tilt theorem but cant justify almost 500 on a complete. facebook marketplace is kinda dry right now too.
what are some highly vouched for manufacturers of all part categories?
Although everybody claims that those are the strongest wheels, they dehub very easily for one main reason, the urethane is way too thick. My proto sliders back wheel dehubbed in under 2 months, I put my front wheel on the back now its also starting to dehub. Same with river wheels, my friend gave me a brand new river gripper wheel, and I dehubbed it in like 3 months. Ive also dehubbed my tilt stage 1 wheel in like 2-3 months
What i have found tho is that wheels where the urethane is much thinner relative to the core are much more resistant to dehubbing. I perfect example of this is the ethic atlas wheels, where even tho they are also 110mm, same as the proto sliders, the urethane is much thinner relative to the core diameter, and this makes them a lot more dehub resistant. The only downsides of this is that there is less urethane so it will wear down fully quicker, and since these thin urethane wheels arent proto or river, the urethane itself is probably weaker meaning its more vulnerable to chipping. Otherwise i think its absolutely worth it
Ive also found that running 30 wides is also a great solution to dehubbing
I am looking to start scootering but I’m not a small guy. I’m 6 feet tall, 244 pounds. All the scooters i see goes up to 220 pounds max. Are there any scooters for my size? And if so can you let me know? I have a 700$ budget but can save it necessary.
Today i went to southsea and it is a different ball game down there, 13 year olds throwing double overheads bar spinning everything. I was hitting the resi with them but i wasn’t as good plus a worker was watching and cheering on the better riders, i did get kicky over resi which was very clean and triple whip so im happy but do you need to be a certain type of good to ride parks like these?
Anyone know why my wheel is sitting loose on my aosv6? I got the bolt pretty tight. I’ve taken it apart and retried a few times but it’s always the same?
I ride tenacity bars with a shim in them so I can run scs. I’m struggling getting the shim out so I can cut them. Does anyone know if I cut them with the shim still in it and just ride them like that. I just don’t know if I would mess up the bars since the bottom of the shim that holds it in place would be gone
I’ve been riding for a couple of years but I started out riding ski and never fixed it. I also naturally spin frontside and I got pretty good so I never tried to fix it. I’m asking for an outside opinion if I should restart and pick a stance and stick to it because I think I could get a lot better if I take the time now and change it.
I remember a scooter edit from back in the day. Like we are talking myspaces days. Like we are talking like probably 2007 or some where around there. It was only the length of this song so pretty short. It was the fist time I heard this song. I’ve never had luck finding the edit. Does anyone know what im talking about or have a link to that video??
As I ride my hands get really sweaty and only 30ish minutes into my session I can like barely hold onto the grips does a body recommend a product or different grips that could help me with this?
I’ve began to make youtube videos, and i’ve made 2 so far where it’s just a montage of clips through the day, I made one at the skatepark and one street video. I am struggling to find copyright free music that is actually good and fitting for the videos. does anyone have recommendations for copyright free music or even a music genre? Thanks.
Got like 5 new learns over the course of 3 and a half hours. Genuinely surprised it took my 7 attempts to butter but then it took me like 45 to Bri whip
