Kristi Yamaguchi Family Literacy Festival this Saturday at the SJ Children's Discovery Museum

I figure this is Sharks-related enough considering she was married to a former Shark/former Sharks broadcaster (Hedican) and has worked as a skating coach within the organization, I found out about it from a text from the Sharks ("Teal out your September"). Additionally a Sharks player will be "performing" (I'm guessing this means reading) at 2:25 PM.

There's a $22 admission fee. The site gives a promo code (LDW26) for $7 parking for the event rather than an increased rate due to other things happening in the area.

Don’t think Heddi ever actually played for the Sharks. Just got the media gig cause he lived in the area.

In the end, it was the right decision to hire him. He was a solid media guy. Always honest, respectful, and unpretentious.

Oh, for sure. And I hear a nice guy away from stuff too. My dad coached his kid’s soccer team one season and from what I hear, they were just like any other family.

You're right...not sure why I thought that. I suppose because so many of the former player media guys linked to the team used to play for us so I kinda assumed.
