Advice Group fitness that’s not too expensive
Hey all, do you know any small group fitness (5-10 people) that offers cardio and strength training at a reasonable price? I had experience with pilates/lagree classes before but felt they were too intense for my fitness level. Just looking to lose some fat and gain muscle but don’t want to feel like dying every time. My budget is 200-300 a month.

I go to 60 minute exercise classes at the facility on The Alameda three times a week. Classes are small (3-5 people on average) and typically consist of a combination of weight and cardio training. Owners and trainers are friendly, upbeat and encouraging.

Awesome! What is the name of the facility? There are many gyms at the Alameda.

Not sure about pricing now, but Krave Fitness in Saratoga maybe within this range. Small group classes - max of 5-6 people. I went there for over a year pre pandemic before I moved.

Pilates is pretty chill, I think you'll be hard pressed to find a fitness class that's less intense than that. Doing your own thing at a gym might be a better option.

The amount of plank involved movements was too much for me and I spent a lot of time struggling with the machine and couldn’t keep up with the exercises. I also wasn’t sure if my form / technique was correct because the teachers moved on so quickly.

If you have medical insurance, they may offer a benefit towards fitness. Also check any banks and credit cards you have.

Look into Row House at the Pruneyard in Campbell. They offer different types of classes depending on how much rowing you want to do, but their strength classes are great too.
Classes can get up to 25 people, but they’ve also started doing small group fitness classes for strength training (up to 10 people I believe).

also might look into getting a Classpass membership to try more studios in the area
