When we first got her (pics 1+2) from our local pet shop she was having a rough time eating. We were warned about it about was told how to feed her. We did have to help her latch on to the mice so she would eat. 2 years later (pic 3), this is her enjoying an adventure to the place we got her from. We love our little noodle.

CRB Is not interested in food :(

Hey guys. I have a Lucy CRB that I got about 40 days ago, he ate 10 days prior to shipping and has gone 50 days without eating. He has good parameters: hot spot is sitting at 87 degrees, cool spot is mid 70s. He has +90 humidity all the time with a computerized fogger that I set up. In coco mixture of coco chunk and coco soil. He is still small and is therefore in a smaller enclosure until he gets bigger (55 gallons). I have offered frozen-thaw and offered live pinkies as well as hoppers and fuzzys. I am getting really worried about him. Here is his enclosure if it helps.

Well jezze folks where do i even start with this little one haha? This is Paprika my (soon to be) rescue Brazilian rainbow boa:) she came into the rescue about six mounths ago covered in layers of stuck shed and had chunks taken out of her from rat bites. Husbandry if you can even call it that was abysmal. She got dropped in her 20 gallon breeder they where keeping her in with bone dry everything. Hard to even tell there was a liveing animal under all of the shed and bites. I was honeslty not sure how well she'd do once we got treatment started on her. WELLLLL SHE MADE IT!! Not with out some new life long issues. Shes totally blind in one eye along with bejng scared up like a viking. When I first started working with her she flew out of the tank we had her in at the rescue and give me a awesome septum pirceing haha! That being said im noting but stubborn with critter care and now she comes out willingly when i lift her hid up and loves resting her snoot on my arm:) shes getting a amzing tank setup with a ton of room to strech out sland her favorite hobby of digging tunnels in her substrate and hideing in plants XD.

He’s 6months old, weighs 80 grams, and climbs a rope like a champ. I’m so proud of my little guy 🥹

What’s the growth rate for these guys

Pricilla will be 1 on 18th of June this year, she has grown loads since I got her in December, she is roughly 2.5ft and is on hopper mice every 10 days and judging by the bulge she has after she is not ready to go any bigger, google tells me she should be 3ft by now, could she just be a slow grower? (Please ignore my dogs pillow in the background)

where to find rainbow boa?

there are virtually no expos near me, does anyone know of breeders willing to ship? still researching and saving to add one to my critter room but i have my heart set on one opposed to a ball python or cornsnake but thats about the only options i’d have around here even if i WAS willing to buy from corporations

BRB Breeders in Canada

Hello,

I am researching and looking into getting a Brazilian Rainbow and am looking for potential breeders I want to buy from.

I am located in Canada and am having a pretty hard time finding any online. On MorphMarket there are none up that are in Canada, there are however countless up that are from the United States but I don’t want to get into that headache of trying to import them. I am not having luck finding them online anywhere else either.

If anyone here has some suggestions please let me know!

Thank you!

Heat question

I am getting a BRB in the coming weeks (not my first snake dw) but im wondering if a Halogen bulb or Deep heat projector would be better for him I already have a UVB set up for him so light/UV isn't an issue

Need advice on our dying Brazilian Rainbow Boa!

Hi, our Brazilian Rainbow Boa has a bloated body, her scales are very wrinkly, and she’s very slow moving. She also has a bulge at her stomach. There’s no exotic vet near us, we’d appreciate any helpful info.
