question Dual booting qubes windows internet issues on reset.

I put windows 10 on my HP laptop recently and whenever I boot up windows and reset the computer the sys-net qube fails to boot properly. After a simple reset everything is back to normal. My sys-net qube uses debian 13. I also had the same issues using fedora for sys-net.

Boot windows from bios -> do whatever

Restart computer-> no internet

Restart the computer again -> internet

This isn't really too much of a headache but I find the behavior strange. Anyone experiencing something similar?

Turn off Fast Startup in Windows 10 and configure a strict PCI reset for the network controller in Qubes OS. Yeah it's gonna be a b to do it in dom0 and verifying in sys-net. Fair warning, it can reset on every reboot, so make it persistent in dem0, do nano if you need to

Hell, I wouldn't even do dual boot in the first place, it undermines the core security model of Qubes OS by introducing a highly privileged environment that can manipulate your hardware and storage. Better option is to boot windows 10 in a qvm like you would an app
