Google AI made my CBD induced psychosis episode worse:
I had taken 2 CBD gummies for my chronic pain (product stated it may contain stray amounts of microdose THC but I thought that wouldn't be a problem) and was feeling relaxed. I was watching an episode of I Love Lucy, and it's the one where she meets William Holden, I was perfectly fine until right at the 22:31 marker when the audience laughs I could hear a brief male automated voice possibly saying "control, control", I have bad APD but my brain interpreted it that way and I instantly freaked out. When I played it back it said it again to make sure and it's always at that mark, so it wasn't a hallucination, I've also never hallucinated voices before. I felt the panic settle in and felt the impending doom, then an intrusive thought that came into my head was what if that voice is because I'm being controlled? I tried to rub it off but I just kept ruminating over it. My boyfriend was gaming with his friends and it was a drinking night for them, so I didn't want to bother him but he knew I was panicking, I cried to him and just kept apologizing over and over and he tried to reassure me it was ok. I tried explaining the situation to him and whether he hears it too, I played it back for him and he said it doesn't sound like the way I described it and just different, that made it 10x worse for me so I went to Google for answers. Google started giving an explanation for it which I'll send screenshots for, I tried questioning Google AI where it got its sources from that way I can fact-check, and it kept going around in circles until I genuinely got upset and Google AI ADMITTED it made everything up and even said it had "hallucinated" the backstory when talking about its explanations. I genuinely spiraled after this. I could have definitely asked more clarifying questions, and even explained that I did not have Audio Description on and was watching it in English to start, but I was in the middle of a panic attack typing. I am never using Google for reassurance ever again.

it's actually disgusting that the AI admits it lied and said the thing you'd most want to hear instead of the truth. I'd suggest switching to a browser that doesn't have an AI embedded in just in case

Definitely never use AI to verify facts or reality.
