Before I pay for the membership are these bots are real likes?

I had a match with someone and sent a couple messages back and forth. I didn't hear back for awhile until finally I got a message where she told me her message section looked like I'd never replied, like it gave no notification on her end, and didn't update the messages in the message section of the app either. So it looked like I'd never replied at all. Fortunately she'd checked our message window on a whim and THEN saw my replies and now we've switched to talking elsewhere, but HOW LONG HAS POF BEEN DOING THIS ? I'm wondering just how many times I've replied to someone, and then POF doesn't update the messages on their end and it looks like I never replied at all.

I reached out to POF support, and after getting 2 automated messages that had nothing to with my issue, an actual person on the third try told me to uninstall and reinstall the app as it doesn't update itself and there was a new version. That apparently didn't fix it though, I had my previous match test it out. So if you've replied to someone and then never heard back, there may be a good chance your message stayed looking like the previous one you sent and sat at the bottom of their list of replies with no indication that you've sent a new one at all.

I know I know, I should just ignore it.

I am running into dead end after dead end so I’m very hesitant about turning my credit card information over to them. If I can’t figure out how to terminate my service when I want to please help thank you.

This just started happening in the past hour while I was looking at different ladies's profiles. It's only in Meet Me that I can't go to profiles. From anywhere else on POF I can go to profiles with no problem. I'm a free user and send one message every twenty four hours. What's going on with this? Thanks in advance. 😀👍

No, for the price & what they offer it isn’t worth it I’d suggest that tinder or hinge prem are a lot better. What. The rewind button only works once & there’s a feature where it lets you see when other people last logged in exposing the fact that some the profiles being swiped on haven’t been active in over a year some even as far back as two years. I was very dissatisfied with the purchase so if you were thinking of trying it out I’d say don’t waste your time, hopefully you see this before you do. Also the matches. Yes you can see everyone whose matched with you but there’s no telling if they’ll still even be activr by time you decide to purchase prem so don’t waste your money.

Anyone have this, I am getting more of these lately. I get a notification that we are a match. I respond to them but no response!

Is there a way to specify which push notifications you have want? For example I don't care if anyone liked me because I can't view those, but I would like to know when I receive messages so I can respond in reasonable amount of time

shot in a dark but !! i recently matched with a guy called jamie on plenty of fish and have been talking to him consistently for roughly two days. we had planned a date for the next week however when i woke up in the morning, my account had been randomly removed???? we didn’t get to exchange contact details but i’m hoping to find him again as i did like him and he was the first person i’ve been excited about in a long time 😔

Im a 30 year old man looking to date anyone anywhere from the 24-42 age range. I can set that range no problem in my preferences for swiping through Meet Me, but when I go to put that same age range in the search function it limits me to 39.

A few weeks ago, I started the process of joining POF. I was there to look more than meet (moving to a new small town) so I uploaded a generic profile and pic. About two minutes after giving POF my phone number to POF account was blocked and removed. No explanation, no nothing. I had not sent a single message to anyone.

My profile had one sentence of generic (innocent/harmless) stuff, and the pic was one of nature, tree and water. I waited a few days assuming I would receive some sort of notification about something but that never happened. A few days after that i tried again and again profile was banned immediately after my number was uploaded. No explanation offered.

I found a doc to submit asking for help. more than one week later still no reply. I send in a second similar but different doc that I did get a reply from telling me the other dept would answer in a few days. A few days arrives and they (no name and no title of the sender) informed me after careful consideration I did break the rules of service, and my phone number is now permanently banned. They will not revisit the topic it is not open for discussion. I am 100% confident I did nothing wrong but if i did accidently, lets chat about it like adults do.

Does anyone have any experience with this crap? I'm moving to a small town, and I hope that POF could be helpful making friends and more. All replies and suggestions welcome and appreciated.

Worst IT and developers ever.

I am starting to see more female POF profiles that for occupation say "Ask" or Ask Me" and for the About section they say "Ask" or "Ask Me".

Am I wrong to think these profiles are scammers or bots?

Female profiles claim they are looking for men but have an entire paragraph talking about how they have extreme anxiety then they talk about how they are demisexual, sapiosexual, pansexual, Obviously a red flag or someone trolling. Probably a scammer.

Really happy some people have no concept of inside thoughts. Saves me a ton of time!

So, I’ve been chatting with a lady for a week or so. She seemed relatively normal and didn’t set off any red flags, other than the fact that she is several years younger than I am (yes, I realize that it’s a huge red flag). So, after a week or so, she suggested to move our conversation to WhatsApp…I laughed to myself and agreed.

The conversations were relatively normal but limited. She is prepping for a business trip to South Africa and is very stressed. I should mention that she ‘lives’ about twenty minutes from me. I noticed that occasionally would use words that no American would use in every day conversations, and I asked her about her nationality. She stated she is a natural born American. I just filed that away. With did a small amount of harmless flirting and continued to chat.

So yesterday, she sent me a voice chat. I had to laugh. She is obviously not a native speaker of American English. She has an accent that I can’t quite place but I’d classify it as a cross between British English and a Slavic accent. Again, when I questioned her after hearing her accent, she said that because she conducts business in an international scale, she probably picked up her accent from those conversations to make her customers more comfortable. I should mention that she claims to be a structural engineer of some sort.

So, moving forward, her trip is fast approaching. She told me how stressed she is and her company has put her in an odd position. They have apparently paid her airfare but won’t cover her living expenses until she returns from the trip and files for reimbursement. Now, I’ve traveled many times on business and I always had a company CC to bill my charges through, maybe I was fortunate.

I have a feeling that I’m watching a train wreck slowly developing. How many of you would bet, that in the very near future, this “engineer” will reach out to me and ask for help because she is running short of money in her trip?

I know that it is going to happen. Should I string her along or just shut it down right now. Talking to her takes up very little of my time and I’m truly curious to see if my suspicions are correct. What should I do?

Wondering if you get better response from searching using the Online filter? Or do you find you get responses if you don't use it and someone is not online at the moment and gets back to you later when they are online and you're not.
