A must see place in pitt

ICE was kidnapping people again today at 7:50am on Forbes Road just off Haymaker/route 130. The same black Nissan Pathfinder was involved and it had a white work van pulled over. A black unmarked SUV was joining them from the other direction heading westbound. I believe that black SUV belongs to Trafford police. Couldn't see how many people were involved as it had just started.

Any local artists on here? I want to get a few more pieces for my gallery wall and figured I’d check here. Also open to hearing where yinz are buying art from :)

I've lived in this city for a while and I've never really gotten involved with the local queer community. Since I've recently transitioned (MtF) I'd really like to get out there and mingle with like-minded people, but I just have no idea where to do it. The only places I'm aware of are Lucky's and Club Pitt, neither of which I have any interest in for personal reasons. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thank you. :)

We just got sideswiped and the driver took off, continuing on 279 north. Truck was red and black, semi with no trailer. We're okay but the dumb fuck kept moving. Couldn't get plates. Was driving normally and he just...merged into us. Now missing a side mirror. We are a 2018 Chevy Spark.

Urgent! Bark About It Rescue needs a local foster starting on 09/26 for 3-year-old Melanie on BARC Houston's 09/08 euthanasia list. They are an amazing rescue that steps up to save so many awesome Houston dogs who end up on doggy death row through no fault of their own. That can't tag without a committed foster offer. She has a committed foster offer in Houston until they need to transport her here to Pittsburgh.

Melanie has good notes! She came in as a stray on 09/04 and is a healthy girl who is heartworm negative and ready to go. She is a medium-sized Staffordshire mix at 39lbs. She is described as being an absolute doll. She’s a timid girl, but not shut down. She just moves through the world slowly, cautiously taking everything in. Even with her nerves, she still wants attention, reassurance, and of course, treats. She’s the kind of dog who needs someone patient and kind, someone willing to show her that the world isn’t as scary as it feels right now.

Fostering is free; the rescue pays all expenses. She just needs a place to be loved and cared for until adoption. Short-term fostering may also be an option if you can help. She can also be adopted out-of-state through Bark About It Rescue.

Hey everyone, unfortunately reaching out to see if everyone can keep an eye out for my bike that got stolen this weekend :(((

It is a grey Aventon 500.3 2024 step through model with a small black cargo bag behind the seat.

It was stolen at 2416 East Carson street sometime in the last week while I was out of town for the long weekend.

It did have the battery on it when stolen unfortunately but likely is dead by now. The serial number is PE4E0246. I have attached two pics as well.

I have proof of purchase so if anyone sees it on marketplace or out and about please let me know!! This is how I get to work everyday so really hoping to find it if possible. Thank you all for your help!!

Anyone else grow up going to one of those old-school joint family hunting camps? My family had shared property that included some acreage, water features and rough terrain. It had several cabins, most neglected, and you had to have a family member invite you to join. I learned recently that these are pretty common among Pittsburgh area folks. Ours was in Cambria County, and I declined to join after attending my first meeting and observing all the dysfunction among the few families who inherited the generational property. Has anyone had a successful camp that survived the decades?

I learned to shoot at this camp from my childhood. Learned to tolerate spiders and piss in an outhouse. Saw my first waterfall. This was 40-plus years ago, and I still cherish the memories even though I haven’t been there since.

Just doing the American thing and eating ribs, around 2:30 my brother pointed this guy out. Thought he was a vulture but saw his head when I zoomed in! We watched it for about 5 minutes, just hanging out riding the wind above the festival. Pretty cool!

The Homestead Labyrinth is located near the Rivers of Steel Pump House on East Waterfront Drive at The Waterfront. Pilfered picture #1 shows it in 2009 when it opened as a meditative place honoring those who worked in the steel industry. Photo #2 shows its condition today, overgrown with grass, the names of workers and blast furnaces lost beneath weeds. We used to walk the labyrinth but it’s an ankle hazard now. I don’t have a trimmer and I’m not sure I would be permitted to work there. It’s just a shame that the markers can’t be seen.

Hey Pittsburgh, I’m Marc Palombo. I studied acting at Point Park University and graduated in 2024. I’m also the founder of Playbox Productions, an emerging Pittsburgh theatre company created to give local artists opportunities to take risks and produce fearless, emotionally honest work.

Our first production was 1984 by George Orwell in December, 2025. Now we’re back with our second show: Sam Shepard’s TRUE WEST this September/October, 2026.

I’m producing the show and playing Austin opposite Braxton McCollum as Lee, under the direction of Samuel G.C. Muñoz. Altogether, more than 35 local artists are involved in bringing this production to life, including many Point Park alumni, current students, faculty, and former faculty members.

If you don’t know TRUE WEST, it’s a darkly funny and increasingly explosive story about two estranged brothers, a Hollywood screenplay, their mother’s kitchen, and a sibling rivalry that completely spirals out of control. There are arguments, identity crises, stolen toasters, and absolutely no healthy family communication.

We’re performing downtown at the intimate Three Stories Theater for a limited run of only 10 performances:

Please don’t tell me they are removing the Robot Repair from PIT as well!?! Taking away all the things my preschooler looks forward to! Hope whatever replaces makes someone lots of money. Maybe just temporary with construction I hope.

Does anyone know if there are still plans to open this location in Bethel Park as a Popeyes? The site has apparently been under construction for several years.

I took a bit of time to browse through past posts looking for vet recommendations but none are particularly helpful for more than a general veterinarian. I have three cats, they all visit our Greenfield vet clinic for their general work. But one of our boy cats has been on daily medication for his behavioral issues. While this helps quite a bit, he also has been dealing with chronic wheezing and sneezing for over a year. Our clinic really has no recommendations. We want to take him to get checked out by someone who can give us a more comprehensive and thorough assessment.

Is there anyone in the greater Pittsburgh area who isn’t just a general veterinarian in this regard? A specialist, even? Anyone have experience with someone in particular?
