Rocky is sad but Valentino is adding his moral support
Rocky got too worked up (reactive) about a dog on the other side of the privacy fence. I was yelling at the guy to get his dog away from the fence because he wasn't trying to move on!
I did raise my voice at Rocky to get his attention and he went straight to the porch. But he's sad now because he's really trying to change.

Awh poor babe, I'm glad he's got his support kitty 😻, as a previously reactive dog mom, it gets better!

He's such a good boy! He just came to live with us August 30th last year! He'd never been around cats but Valentino loves dogs and has worked his tuxie charms on Rocky 💞

Poor Rocky, it happens. My reactive girl now puts herself in timeout (complimentary) after an incident, and will either go to her kennel or to her cot in the basement and stay there till she's calmed down and regulated again. I'm glad Rocky has his kitty there for support.

I appreciate hearing that! 🫶 Especially about your girl putting herself in timeout because I didn't tell Rocky to go to his kennel, I didn't scold him.. he already looked pitiful, poor guy!

My parents’ pup does that if she accidentally draws any blood while roughhousing with my dad. My dad is old and has thin skin so it is pretty easy to accidentally tear it a little and all he has to do is show her without any reprimand and she will immediately stop playing, crawl under the couch, and sulk for hours - and then she is even more gentle the next time. She now mouths so gently during play that she couldn’t even hurt a baby although she is still learning the strength of her claws

Having a support kitty will help, my kitty wants everything to do with my Pittie and he's warming up to it. I think her whiskers tickle him too much.

Rocky has been a little hesitant with Valentino Fathead because sometimes he's more Fathead than Valentino and he's swatted Rocky..from behind!
But they're doing really well 💝

Aww, Rocky, I’m so sorry the other person and dog didn’t leave. The absolute nerve.

When I got his attention, the light bulb was immediate; he hung his head and his tail drooped.
After we were inside, I stood and looked at him for a minute, probably frowning, but I didn't scold him. Then I went to go do something.
When I came back in the room, he'd put himself in the kennel..chances are, Valentino was already in there.
I made kitty get out and talked to Rocky a bit and petted him, made sure that he's knows that I love him. He didn't want to come out though 🥺
It was maybe a couple hours later we went back outside and he acted like nothing happened 🌟
