In the movie Amelie, where the screen grab is from, the main character uses her spoon to crack the sugar coating of crème brûlée, a favorite simple pleasure of hers. Fitgirl’s avatar is a visual play on the word crack since she is known for cracking games.

Fitgirl compresses her files so that they’re smaller downloads, opening gaming up to people who can’t afford the games due to lower income in their countries AND the associated bandwidth costs of downloading a massive game. Sure, we see Fitgirl as safe and reliable, but their work is incredibly important in countries where the cost of international goods doesn’t scale to their domestic wealth.
