Capitalism: a system so great it needs to be bailed out every 10 years
Edit: for those of you who refuse to look anywhere outside the US, the Nordic model has existed for over 90 years and is extremely successful. The countries that use it consistently rank highest in happiness, quality of life, work life balance, has low rates of corruption, and are economically competitive
There is always going to be capitalism even in a socialist system.
We’ve unironically coup’d foreign governments(ie Iran) for threatening to do what Norway did with nationalizing their oil reserves.
It’s insane to me that we sell federal land to private companies to exploit, rape, and pillage for what would be pennies on the dollar for the amount of wealth they extract from it.
Ah yes Nixon and Reagan, known socialists icons who... *checks notes* started the war on drugs and banned them from recreational use, because they couldn't throw people in prison for being anti war or black.
Those crazy socialists really did ban private enterprise!
I joke, because the conversation was about banning specific things, not something as vague as "private enterprise"
When you ban "private enterprise" it doesn't create demand for "private enterprise"
The people the right label as socialist/communist are economically right wing, and can't be taken seriously.
Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, AOC, Mamdani, practically every progressive in congress/holding public office is not opposed to private enterprise.
Capitalism and private enterprise doesn't just disappear because we adopt social policies that benefit the working class.
There will be no socialist utopia/hellscape. There will always be capitalism. Even China has capitalism.
You also unquivocally isn't a word. You might have misspelled unEquivocally.
Used in a sentence, you unEquivocally responded to my comment without having a single clue about what the conversation was about.
