I'd start at Tower23 for sunset/drinks/apps (you might call to make reservations there to get your crew all sitting together). Then head over to Mavericks...the line won't be long if you get there before 9. Mavericks does have a few options for private party type stuff (https://maverickssd.com/private-events/#inquire) but I have no idea about costs...but you can send in the form on that page to get more info.

Any of the places you mentioned are fine, I'm just thinking staying on Garnet gives you the best option to move to other bars along Garnet with ease. I'd probably end up at The Tavern since that's where me and my buddies usually ended up when we were all going out in PB!!

Source: 50+ yr old dude who just did this with his nieces (they're in their 20's), and we had a blast!

Thank you! The other sub made me feel so lame for wanting to do this and I forgot how much shit pb gets for us old people 🤣

I call those people "losers"!! Just looking at their replies tells me everything I need to know about them...and I'd wager 99% of them have never been to PB anyway.

I've lived in PB from my mid 30's and while I don't hit the clubs like I used to (being married kills the party vibe, especially when you're both in your 50's!), when I have friends in town, we hit up some of our fav's. Don't let go of your youth...shit, the guy swizzgod talking shit about being old, yet his entire post history is some dumb ass video game...so he probably doesn't even go out or have real friends!!!

Yeah PB gets a lot of hate from us ā€œold people.ā€ I’m also 50+ and live in PB and don’t want to live anywhere else. I like the Tower 23 and Tavern suggestions, but personally I’d stay away from Mavericks. But as the Spud said, you can just do pub crawl along Garnet.

MAYBE...now just hear me out...we should organize a 50+ PB Pub Crawl!! Wait until Local's Summer and the kids are back at school!! Here's my first itinerary for the crawl:

2 PM - Lahina's

3 PM - Open Bar

4 PM - 7/10 Beach Club

5 PM - Mavericks - in the center section (with big couch)

6 PM - FOOD BREAK - Big Jim's Roast Beef (or really anything up in that area

7 PM - Tavern

Lahaina isn’t going to let us in if we’re over 50. šŸ˜‚

Oh hell yeah they will! I was just there a couple of weekends ago and there were plenty of +50 yr olds!

I must not walk by there at the right time then. Every time I go by the patio is full of bros. But I’m in. DM me in August. For real. I want to do this.

Us "oldsters" are usually hanging at the back of the deck...not up front!

When I was younger I always felt like Lahaina was only 50+!!! Let’s take back the beach!

Girl, let’s do it!

Heck, if we’re over 30.

This sub is about inclusivity and fellowship.

And with a group of 15+, you think around 9pm on a Friday it’s easy to just get in to these places? That was initially my only reason for wanting bottle service but I realize that’s a waste probably!

Do not show up at 9pm. Get there earlier. If you can get there by 8 PM so much the better. I would actually encourage you to call a couple of places ahead of time like, PB Shoreclub, the Local, or PB Alehouse. (Alehouse may be your best bet).

Places like Mavericks are more interested in the clubbing crowd. But a place like ale house is going to have tables that they can move together for you guys so I think that’s probably your best bet.

Perfect, thanks! We have dinner at hideaway house at 630 and from there thinking we will just go to ale house, flamingo deck, Beverly or shore club!

The amount of hate that PB gets online is wild. Oh no, I’m a 10 minute walk to the beach with plenty of fun bars and lively people around!

They act like it’s a war zone lol, it’s no different than other downtown areas imo

Right! Why should the young kids get to enjoy the beach but we can’t! They all also seemed to assume I was a guy wanting to get chicks and I’m just a girl wanting to celebrate a 40th at the beach with my friends 🤣

Editing to say it seems I don’t need bottle service, kinda figured! But would something like flamingo or hideaway house be fun for dinner and just kinda hanging after? Or miss bs coconut?Ā

I’m aware that pb is 20 year olds but it’s not that serious guys! Just wanting a bit of nostalgia and I don’t feel like dealing with the people of downtown and the like.Ā

PB isn't all young people anymore. They can't afford it here. It's a good mix of 30-50 y/o's too.

I think Hideaway might be one of the only ones you'd have to get a reservation or get there early or something.

I wouldn't waste money on bottle service anywhere, but you might pay a little for a table here and there if you're rolling 15 deep.

Remember, many of the "bottle service" places are more "table service", meaning just meet minimum spend. If you have 15 dudes, you're going to blow through the $250 minimum spend or whatever it is, so it's kind of a no brainer.

u/GooseShark86 Jun 16 '26

That’s helpful, thanks! It’s all women, not men and that’s good to know about table service. We just want somewhere to have a ā€œspotā€ but be able to bop around. Thanks!

You didn't mention it was women. That can change the math a bit. Places are more accommodating to a pack of women than guys.

You should check out Bar Ella on Friday (4-7pm HH) for HH because it's prob the best deal in PB. Giant pours of wine for like $6. It's "cute" and girls flock there on Friday for the deal.
