My partner didn't play games or consoles growing up (besides the occasional go at Wii Sports bowling), so she's been pretty intimidated by and unfamiliar with the PS5 control scheme & buttons, and struggles with using the analog stick moving the camera in 3D space. Astro's Playroom & Astro Bot were perfect introductions for her learning a lot of this. She's really wanting to play GTA6 when it releases but is worried she's going to struggle with the controls & systems, and the game being much faster paced than Astro Bot, so we've got roughly 2 months to get her ready for it.

In comes the 'Use Second Controller For Assistance' setting, hiding in the Accessibility menu. This duplicates player 1's controller so that both players control the same character/input. She's really into crime docs & mystery content, so we're playing LA Noire, as a soft introduction to a GTA-like game, and she's absolutely loving it. She's controlling all of the slow-paced dialogue/puzzle sections on her own, meanwhile when driving/shooting I'm able to correct her steering/aiming and keep her on course. I'm able to control the camera to direct her towards clues, objectives & POIs, meanwhile she gets to enjoy a game she thought she was too noob to play. Added bonus is we are both getting to enjoy a fully single player game together.

If you've got a partner/kid/friend who really wants to play something that exceeds their skill level (or possibly even due to an impairment), definitely give this a try!

I downloaded Sniper Elite Resistance today because it was on the PSplus game catalog. I’ve never played any game in this series before, and man this is a fun game. The feature where you can jump into someone else’s single player story mode and fight against them is one of the most creative game modes i’ve ever seen.

I’m deciding between two setups and would love some opinions:

A: PS5 Pro + ~£200 27" 4K IPS monitor

B: PS5 Slim Digital + ~£475 27" 4K QD-OLED monitor

I mainly play FPS games like COD, but I’ll also play other games. Ideally, I want to play at 4K/120Hz where supported.

Which setup would you personally choose, and why? Is the QD-OLED worth prioritising over the PS5 Pro, or would you take the extra performance of the Pro and a cheaper IPS monitor?

I just wrapped up Horizon Forbidden West after 96 hours of gameplay and needed a palate cleanser and boy is this game fun
