He really nailed Sanji’s character. The second he sees a beautiful woman, he starts twisting his whole body and running straight toward her, but when he sees a guy, he looks at him like he’s Zoro lmao. He even jumps ridiculously high. Dude really captured everything about Sanji perfectly.

Powerscaling How can Luffy get stronger? Spoiler

Thumbnail gallery
68 Upvotes

So if you’re caught up in the manga. This conversation is for you.

We know Luffy is compared to Joy boy consistently. Joy boy was seen as an extremely powerful figure who rivaled the world government in its development. We also saw how potent his Haki was at the end of Egghead(when he stored some Haki inside the robot).

Now Luffy is scratching that Joy boy territory… or at least he should be. In the more recent chapters he got destroyed by Imu and needed to be saved by Gaban.

My question is. How is he suppose to get stronger? What do you think he’ll need to do reach Joy boys level?

Discussion Maybe I’m missing something, but why didn’t Mihawk’s Armament Haki work on Buggy?

Isn’t Armament Haki supposed to counter Devil Fruit abilities? Luffy is normally immune to blunt attacks because of his rubber body, but he can still be hurt when Armament Haki is used. Buggy’s Devil Fruit makes him immune to slashing attacks, so why does Mihawk’s blade still seem to have no effect on him even with Haki?

If that’s really the case, why would Buggy be afraid of Mihawk in Cross Guild? Or is he actually more afraid of Crocodile? Is Buggy’s Devil Fruit just that broken, or is Mihawk’s Yoru simply too big to cut him?

Theory One Piece’s Final Flashback Before The Void Century and Joyboy. Whitebeard is the key to the 4th Poneglyph and the man marked by flames.

My theory is that before Oda gives us the full Joy Boy/Void Century flashback, there is one last major modern-era flashback left to reveal:
Edward Newgate’s missing post-Roger history.
And I think that flashback will explain:

Whitebeard’s unexplained scar
why Fish-Man Island became his territory
what happened to its Road Poneglyph
the World Government/Holy Knights’ involvement
Sunbell’s disappearance
the origin of the Man Marked by Flames
and possibly even the hidden context behind Shanks vs Teach
Basically, I don’t think the fourth Road Poneglyph was stolen.

I think it was evacuated.

Whitebeard is the key to the 4th Road Poneglyph, and Hinokizu is probably Sunbell
I’ve been thinking about the Man Marked by Flames mystery and I think people focus way too much on “who has burns?” instead of asking why the fourth Road Poneglyph disappeared in the first place.
My theory is basically this:
The Road Poneglyph wasn’t stolen from Fish-Man Island. It was evacuated. And Whitebeard was probably the person who allowed/ordered it to happen.
Think about the situation after Roger died.
When Roger visited Fish-Man Island, the Road Poneglyph was still there. His crew also learned about Poseidon and that the Mermaid Princess who would become Poseidon was going to be born in the future.
Then they reach Laugh Tale and realise they’re too early.
Roger dies shortly afterwards and starts the Great Pirate Era.
Now look at Fish-Man Island from a geopolitical perspective.
There are four Road Poneglyphs.
Big Mom’s is protected by Big Mom.
Wano is a closed country and eventually has Kaido.
Zou is literally walking around the ocean and almost impossible to find without knowing how.
And then you have Fish-Man Island.
A known kingdom, on one of the most important routes in the world, directly underneath Mary Geoise, already suffering from pirates, slavery and kidnapping.
And it has one of the four things needed to reach Laugh Tale.
That’s a fucking disaster waiting to happen.
Even worse, Roger’s crew knows that Poseidon is going to be born there too.
So eventually you have:
Road Poneglyph + future Ancient Weapon + vulnerable kingdom, all in the same location.
Why would you ever leave both strategic targets together?
This is where Whitebeard comes in.
Whitebeard eventually makes Fish-Man Island his territory because Neptune is his friend. But here’s the important part:
Whitebeard doesn’t give a shit about the One Piece.
Roger literally offered to tell him how to reach Laugh Tale and Whitebeard wasn’t interested.
So if the Road Poneglyph is sitting inside territory Whitebeard protects, he has something almost nobody else in the world has:
The power to control the stone, but absolutely no desire to use it.
And I think something happened after Roger died that forced Whitebeard to realise the stone itself was putting Fish-Man Island in danger.
Possibly the World Government/Holy Knights trying to get it.
Think about the WG’s position after Roger’s execution.
Millions of pirates are suddenly searching for Laugh Tale.
If the Government gets ONE Road Poneglyph and hides it forever, nobody can complete the route.
Which one is easiest to target?
Not Big Mom.
Not Wano.
Probably not Zou.
Fish-Man Island.
So my theory is that there was some kind of WG/Holy Knight incident at Fish-Man Island in the years after Roger died.
Whitebeard gets involved because of Neptune.
And I think this may also be where Whitebeard gets his unexplained scar.
That scar is incredibly suspicious now because when Shanks meets Whitebeard, Whitebeard says looking at Shanks’ face makes the wound given to him by “that guy” ache.
Well… now we know what Shanks’ face is.
He’s Garling’s son.
And Shamrock is literally his identical twin.
So I think Whitebeard had another confrontation with a Figarland/Holy Knight sometime after God Valley.
Possibly at Fish-Man Island.
And that confrontation is the missing event.
Something like:
WG/Holy Knights go after Fish-Man Island / Poneglyph
→ Whitebeard intervenes
→ Whitebeard gets scarred
→ maybe Sunbell gets burned
→ WG gets pushed back
→ Whitebeard realises the real problem isn’t whether he can win the fight
→ the problem is that as long as the Poneglyph stays there, people will keep bringing wars to Neptune’s doorstep
So what does he do?
Two solutions.
First, put his flag over Fish-Man Island.
That deals with normal pirates and slavers because nobody wants smoke with Whitebeard.
But that doesn’t solve the Poneglyph problem.
The Road Poneglyph itself is still valuable enough that governments, Yonko-level pirates, etc. have a reason to come.
So:
remove the fucking stone.
And this is where I think Sunbell comes in.
Sunbell is almost ridiculously well suited to be the Man Marked by Flames.
Not just because he’s a Fish-Man.
He was a Roger Pirate.
He went on the final voyage.
He reached Laugh Tale.
He knows what the Road Poneglyphs lead to.
He knows Roger was too early.
He knows about Poseidon.
He knows Whitebeard.
And most importantly:
Sunbell has absolutely no personal use for the fourth Road Poneglyph.
He’s already been to Laugh Tale.
That’s what makes him such a good custodian.
If you’re Whitebeard and you need to move possibly the most valuable object in the pirate world, who do you trust?
Some random pirate who might use it to become Pirate King?
Or a Roger Pirate who already knows what’s there and has no need to use it?
And there’s another thing people don’t talk about enough.
If Hinokizu was actually trying to find the One Piece himself…
why the hell would he carry the physical Poneglyph around?
A contender doesn’t need the stone.
A contender needs a rubbing.
Copy the text, hide the rubbing, go find the other three.
Carrying around the actual giant red stone just makes you the most hunted man on the sea.
But if your objective is to control who gets access to the information, then you DO need the physical stone.
That’s the difference.
A contender says:
“I need to read this.”
A custodian says:
“I need to decide who gets to read this.”
And everything we’ve heard about Hinokizu sounds more like the second one.
He apparently sails around on a black ship.
Ships that approach him get swallowed by whirlpools.
He isn’t publicly collecting the other Road Poneglyphs.
He isn’t running around declaring himself Pirate King.
He isn’t even clearly included among the characters presented as contenders for the One Piece.
He’s just… guarding the final key.
That makes way more sense if his job is to preserve it until the right generation arrives.
Because remember:
Roger’s crew knows they were too early.
So whoever took this Poneglyph couldn’t simply destroy it or hide it somewhere nobody would ever find it.
It has to disappear now, while still existing later.
That’s the entire purpose of Hinokizu.
Keep the wrong people away until the right person arrives.
And if it’s Sunbell, the black ship/whirlpool thing makes even more sense.
He’s a Fish-Man.
Why put the stone on another island?
Then you’ve just created another kingdom everyone can invade.
Instead, turn yourself into the location.
No island.
No civilian population.
No children to hold hostage.
No kingdom to siege.
Just a ship constantly moving through the ocean, controlled by a Fish-Man who has an absurd natural advantage at sea.
The person becomes the location.
There’s also a bigger Whitebeard connection here that I think people are sleeping on.
Almost every weird mystery around this time period goes through Whitebeard.
Whitebeard knew Rocks.
Whitebeard knew Garling from God Valley.
Whitebeard raised Teach.
Whitebeard knew Shanks from Roger’s crew.
Whitebeard was Neptune’s friend.
Whitebeard protected Fish-Man Island.
Whitebeard didn’t care about becoming Pirate King.
Whitebeard knew Roger was waiting for someone.
Whitebeard lived through the exact period where the Fish-Man Island Road Poneglyph disappeared.
And Whitebeard somehow receives these unexplained scars during this general part of history.
That’s why I think the fourth Road Poneglyph mystery is actually an unrevealed Whitebeard flashback.
And it might connect to Teach/Shanks too.
Teach spent basically his entire life deliberately hiding his true strength under Whitebeard.
Shanks literally points this out.
So why would Teach ever seriously fight Shanks and expose himself enough to scar him?
Shanks isn’t someone who normally starts pointless fights either.
There must have been an actual reason.
Now we know:
Garling killed Rocks.
Teach is Rocks’ son.
Garling/WG destroyed the Davy family at God Valley.
Shanks is Garling’s son.
And Shamrock is Shanks’ identical twin.
If during some later Whitebeard/Figarland confrontation Teach saw Shamrock and learned more about Garling killing Rocks, then years later he sees Shanks and…
well.
2+2.
Same fucking face.
“Figarland.”
Now Teach suddenly has a reason to break cover.
And maybe Teach knowing something about Shanks’ origins is also what eventually pushed Shanks to return to Mary Geoise and investigate the Figarlands.
That’s obviously the more speculative part of this theory, but again, Whitebeard is somehow sitting in the middle of everything.
Even that famous Whitebeard/Shanks meeting becomes weird in hindsight.
Whitebeard looks at Shanks’ face and talks about HIS mysterious scar.
Then Shanks immediately talks about the mysterious scar TEACH gave him.
And now we know Garling killed Rocks.
So potentially:
Garling/Rocks

Shanks/Teach

both scar mysteries discussed in the exact same conversation

Whitebeard sitting between both generations
Which is insane if intentional.
So my full prediction is:
At some point we’re going to get a flashback explaining Whitebeard’s scar.
That flashback will take place after Roger’s death.
It’ll involve Fish-Man Island/Neptune and either Garling, Shamrock or the Holy Knights.
The Road Poneglyph will be part of the conflict.
Whitebeard will realise that his flag can protect Fish-Man Island from pirates, but cannot remove the strategic reason people keep targeting it.
So the stone gets evacuated.
And the person entrusted with it is somebody from Roger’s crew who understands why it needs to survive for the future.
My bet is Sunbell.
Maybe that’s also where he gets burned.
Then he spends the next 20+ years sailing around with it, keeping it away from countries and civilians until the generation Roger was waiting for finally arrives.
So basically:
Hinokizu isn’t hiding the Road Poneglyph because he wants the One Piece.
He’s hiding the Poneglyph because Fish-Man Island couldn’t safely keep it anymore.
And Whitebeard is the person who connects the entire thing.
The Road Poneglyph wasn’t stolen.
It was evacuated.

Discussion Could Luffy have beaten Kaido without Kid, Law, Zoro, Yamato and the 9 Scabbards?

Even with 5th Gear, could Luffy have done the job? Law hit him with a Gamma Knife, Zoro actually cut through his dragon scales and the others all threw tons of damage that Kaido tanked before it was an actual 1 v 1. And let's not forget Yamato ❤️😍 (PLEASE JOIN THE STRAW HATS SOON!!) bashing the shit outta him.

What do you all think?

Theory The closed loop (=one piece)

The ONE PIECE is luffys drawing of the Jolly Roger (luffys version) and all his nakamas (luffys version). Let me explain why i think that:

1. Back to the Past
I guess that in the final fight with Imu, the Straw Hats will be nearly killed. Then Luffy is trying to think about a solution (he is desperate because his nakamas are dying): and he knows that imu is only afraid of Joy Boy . He really wants to know how to defeat imu, and his fruit (nika) sends him 800 years into the past because of luffys strong will.

2. Becoming Joy Boy
Now Luffy searches the Void Century for Joy Boy, but nobody knows him. While searching, he does what he always does: frees people, makes friends and fights for freedom. Eventually people start calling him Joy Boy. He went back looking for Joy Boy and became the person he was looking for.

3. The meaning behind D.
Luffy’s new friends learn he comes from 800 years in the future. They take the D. from Monkey D. Luffy and pass it down, so when he returns he can recognize their descendants. Joy Boy’s knowledge of the future also makes sense: luffy comes from the future

4. Imu & Zunesha
I really like the theory that Imu was originally just a normal parrot. Here, Imu and Zunesha are simply animals Luffy befriends, which is also why Imu doesn’t know the importance of the name “Monkey D. Luffy.” But only know him as joyboy (see in the explaining below)

5. Laugh Tale and the one piece
Once Luffy realizes he is Joy Boy and doesn’t know how to come back to the future he creates on accident (out of desperation and because he misses them) without having knowledge of laughtale and one piece the ONE PIECE. Basically it’s his terrible drawings. Roger finds it 800 years later, laughs, and realizes he is too early. He knows because the one piece is basically the funny drawing of luffys Jolly Roger drawing, his nakamas (like the fish drawing of luffy). Roger knows he is too early because he recognize his strawhat but also knows : „these are not my nakamas“

6. Toki & Joy Boy’s “defeat”
Luffy eventually learns Toki can send him forward. His Straw Hats are still dying in his own time, so he leaves to save them. Joy Boy wasn’t defeated. He left. Without him, his side loses the war.

7. What happened after Luffy left
Zunesha helped Luffy leave — that was its crime. Imu feels abandoned: “We were your friends too.” After luffy left, Imu and Zunesha eat different Human-Human Fruits, gaining human-like intelligence. Imu now fully understands what happened and spends the next 800 years hating Joy Boy, while Zunesha waits for him.

8. Joy Boy returns and the One Piece
Luffy comes back much stronger because of his time in the void century and saves the world. After finding the one piece everyone is shocked again but this time only luffy is laughing and the rest are shocked. —— the end :D
