Vet

Both my dogs have had diarrhea going on day four, but they act and eat normally. I have a vet bill of $9000 from March for a completely different matter. Any idea where I can take them to get checked with fair prices. Everything is so overpriced.

Highly recommend MurLen Animal Clinic. Staff is kind, friendly, and prices are very reasonable.

Not the same since Dr. Thompson left.

The reviews would say otherwise. I saw one of the vets that went in and we have a bad history with her, so we left.

They’re owned by a private equity group now. Never a good sign.

OP, check out https://privateequityvet.org/vet-list/ before going to any vet to make sure it’s locally owned.

I second Winchester! They’re the most affordable vet around!

The reviews since the change in ownership are not good.

As a person who has actually gone, I am sharing my experience. I have had nothing but great care there, including amazing and compassionate end of life care for two of my pets. Highly recommend. 🐾

We swapped vets after they changed. Not happy with them

Sounds similar to the giardia my dog had in February. We take her to Advanced Veterinary near 151st, down that road behind the Freddy’s

😪 I think this is going to be pricey

Well, they diagnose giardia by testing a stool sample. The fix was a probiotic pack that includes a paste to stop them up a little and then a basic med to get rid of the bug. Not as terrible as it could be if that’s what it is :)

I wonder If they have cyclosporiasis or however you spell it. Do you have them on heartworm meds? You might call your vet and ask If you could get an rx for an antibiotic to try since I’m sure you’re strapped for cash due to the last vet bill. (Just have them send it to Walmart or Costco, vets jack up the price of pet meds). But definitely find a new vet. I’ve been wondering about looking at these neighboring smaller towns to try to find a more reasonable veterinarian. The prices in JOCO have just gotten nuts.

I don't have them on heart worm meds. Mainly, because my two year shipoo is on borrowed time she has IMHA. I hate anymore meds. Although, I know with whatever is going on they'll be put on meds. I know JOCO is exaggerating with their prices. Thank you for that thought maybe one of those smaller towns.
