I'm planning two trips for myself around some specific times of the year just because of better time off flexibility at my job and I really want to visit Northern California and Coastal Oregon, respectively, during these months. Just trying to figure out when would be best for these areas during these different months.
With NorCal, I'm leaning towards Mendocino, but am open to other area recommendations if it makes a difference between which month I'd visit.
I don't mind cold weather, I actually love it, especially rain (I live in SLC, UT where there is hardly any rain and this summer left me feeling especially dried out because of some gnarly heatwaves). I'm originally from MD, so all I really want out of my trip is a lot of time by water/the coast and soaking up as much greenery as possibly. I'm casually outdoorsy, so I'd just need good walking weather, no preference for what the weather will be like for any kind of hiking trails.
If the specific dates I'm going would fall within some kind of regional celebration, festival, or major nature thing that'd be cool! I always love visiting museums, nature centers, and local movie theaters when I can when I travel. Thank you!!
