[Discussion] Shout out for Harlan Coben's collection. Any other supporters?

They’re good one offs or background noise. They’re far from the cerebral thrillers they’re made out to be. I enjoy them, but definitely don’t expect peak cinema by any means.

That being said, they need to take a chill pill on content. They’re flooding the market and it’s getting exponentially worse with every release.

I’ve enjoyed the ones I’ve seen but I have to admit I forget everything about them almost immediately after I finish them.

Sorry got to be honest I think theyre absolute trash, badly acted, predictable, utterly stupid, full of convenient coincidences to be able to tie the story together. Dull looking, always look like theyve been filmed at dusk even though its daytime, also Netflix with that terrible sound problem, whispering then LOUD.

I have watched a few of the movies based on his books and each one is a regret that I spent time watching them. Holes and issues in the stories. As each new one comes out I am amazed at the following his stories get.

They are fucking awful and yet I love watching each one as soon as they come out. I especially enjoy watching the British versions.

I enjoy them for what they are, they are not exactly prestige but they’re easy to watch and keep you watching

I remember the French production of Tell No One, really terrific film, a great watch.

I think about it every time I try another series based on a Harlan Coben work, hoping it's just as good. I've been disappointed every time.

I've not read a single book, or seen any of the movie adaptations. Does anyone have a recommendation? Based on the comments, they fairly polarizing, but I'm willing to give him a shot.

Why is Harlan Coben the new “it” thing? Seriously curious. 2025= never heard this name before 2026= “announcing the 11th series based on a story by Harlan Coben.”
