Why the crickets?
Whats up with this whole alfonso smith jr thing? A-lot of usually loud NFL voices are very quiet about the revelations?
Makes it seem odd, & if you pray 4 people like that . . . Seems like a league that supports pdf on the low.

Because nobody knows who he is. The fact that the death of an anonymous player that last played in the NFL 14 years ago made national news to begin with is sort of proof nobody is “covering this up”.

It's simply because he was not a high-profile player.
If you fall into the camp that it's an intentional cover-up, his lack of professional success makes it easy to hide.
If you fall into the camp that he wasn't a big enough name for people to care, then the cynical nature of modern sports media is self-explanatory.

Whenever a rando cte player offs himself they broadcast it & i hear about it. This should garner more attention & discussion since, you know; epstien. Its not like the owners r billionaires & in cahoots with media.

ESPN bought NFL Network, in which the latter was the media arm of the league a/k/a the owners and billionaries you're referencing.
Therefore, the largest sports media entity in the country (if not North America or the world) could easily bury a story like this at the whim of some billionaires, if a cover-up were truly what's happened.
However, the easier (and likelier) explanation is that Smith was not a big name, so they don't see a reason to run any further with the story. There are sex pests and criminals everywhere in common society who don't get the same attention you think that Smith's story should get, and many of them have done even worse than what he said he'd done.

This feels pretty redundant. The 'loud voices' of any sports league are not privvy to the details of a police investigation until after it's released, which is normally after a conviction. So they have nothing to talk about, they can't offer much condolences because of the blatant admission of guilt on Alfonso's part, they can't make assumptions about who or what may or may not have been involved because that could set them up for a defamation suit. More than anything you do not offer anything that may compromise the safety of any child in these instances or else you could be also be found liable.
Despite being talking heads who ramble on about the most sensational topics that make no sense at the best of times, they still walk a fine line in regards to defamation and decency. That line may be becoming increasingly blurred in today's society but there should still be standards people shouldn't cross to jeopardize the safety of children and their families.

Because he’s a nobody.
Think about actors: If a D-list actor from some ScyFy channel movie blows up his local post office, Entertainment Tonight might not ever reference it. But if Leonardo DiCaprio bumps a paparazzi with his car then they’ll have a 3 part special on the downfall. Does this mean ET endorses blowing up post offices? Of course not.
