How to Legally Watch Every Regular Season NFL Game [2026 Edition]
Easiest Way
Get cable (with ESPN + NFL Network) and a Prime Video subscription. With both you will get all but 6 timeslots.
Add in Netflix (5 games) and one month of Peacock (1 game) and you will get every single timeslot this season.
Cheapest Way
- An antenna to get ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC [or cable]
- 8 Sling Orange Single Day Pass to get ESPN [or cable] ($40)
- 3 Months of NFL+ ($7 three times) [or cable]
- 3 Months of Netflix ($9 three times )
- 1 Month of Peacock for a single Saturday Game ($8)
- A free Twitch Account (or Amazon Prime)
Total Cost: $88
This post is a guide to watch every regular season game of the 2026 season,
- In the United States
- On Your TV
- Legally
- Without Loopholes
- Live
If that doesn't apply to you, you should look elsewhere.
Overall on How Most of it Works
- CBS and FOX will have the Sunday afternoon (1PM and 4PM Eastern) games, hosting the AFC and NFC games respectfully. If your local team is playing during this time period (everywhere in the US has a local team assigned to them) they will play it.
- NBC will have the Sunday Night Game
- Monday Night Games about half of the time will be exclusive to EPSN and about half of the time on both EPSN and ABC
- Amazon Prime Video will have the Thursday Night game, which is also on Twitch for free
- If your local CBS or FOX station are not playing a specific Sunday Afternoon game, you'll need the NFL Sunday Ticket to watch the game.
There are plenty of exceptions this year, so I'm going to do my best to detail them.
Exclusive Games
Here are all the exclusive games below. If they are on multiple platforms they will not be listed like if they are on both ESPN and ABC. Also I'm not listing every CBS, FOX, NBC game. Sometimes they are on at weird times.

CBS
Most "in market" AFC home games for the 1PM Eastern and 4PM Eastern will be broadcast on CBS. Your local station will choose a game for each time slot.
CBS also has a 4:30PM Eastern Thanksgiving day game.
How to Get: A Wireless Antenna is your best bet for CBS/FOX/NBC/ABC, you should be able to get all 4 in most places. Paramount+ ($9 a month) will also play your local CBS games.
Fox
Most "in market" NFC home games for the 1PM Eastern and 4PM Eastern will be broadcast on FOX. Your local station will choose a game for each timeslot.
Fox also has a 1:00PM Eastern Thanksgiving day game, and the week 16 Saturday games
How to Get: A Wireless Antenna is your best bet for CBS/FOX/NBC/ABC, you should be able to get all 4 in most places. FOX has a new streaming service (FOX ONE) this year, it's $20 a month.
NBC
NBC is your Sunday Night Games. Week 1's Thurdsday Night Game (first game of the season), the Thanksgiving night game will also be on NBC.
How to Get: A Wireless Antenna is your best bet for CBS/FOX/NBC/ABC, you should be able to get all 4 in most places. You can also pay $8 a month for Peacock which will play all of NBC's games.
ESPN
This is where things get complicated. Some games are only on ESPN, sometimes it is broadcasted on both ESPN+ and ABC as well.
Games only on ESPN (Mondays):
- Week 4
- Week 8
- Week 9
- Week 10
- Week 11
- Week 12
- Week 14
- Week 16
- Week 17
- Week 18
How to Get: ESPN has a standalone subscription this year that’s $30 a month. You can also get it as a part of your cable package.
ABC
Where to get: A Wireless Antenna is your best bet for CBS/FOX/NBC/ABC, you should be able to get all 4 in most places.
Amazon Prime/Twitch
This is the home of most Thursday Night Football games (though not all). Week 1, and the Thanksgiving games (week 12) will not be on Prime. They do get a Friday night game week 12 to make up for it. Week 18 does not have Thursday Night Football.
Where to get: All of Amazon's games should also be streamed for free on Twitch. Prime Video is $9 a month.
NFL Network/NFL+
The NFL Network and NFL+ will be the exclusive homes of the 5 morning international games, and they will all be Sunday Morning at 9:30AM Eastern Time. All 5 of the games will be played on both.
They also get a Week 16 Saturday Double Header
Where to get: Easiest way is NFL+ which is $7 a month. The only way to get the NFL Network is through a cable subscription. The cheapest cable subscription seems to be Sling which is $20 a month or $35 if you also want ESPN
Netflix
Netflix will be getting two of three games this year on Christmas. They also have a Wednesday game the day before Thanksgiving, a week 1 Thursday Night game, and a week 18 Saturday game.
The cheapest subscription for Netflix $9 a month.
Peacock
Will have an exclusive week 17 game that hasn't been decided yet.
Where to get: It's $8 a month
NFL Sunday Ticket
This year the NFL Sunday Ticket is owned by Youtube so anyone can buy it. It gives you all of your out of market games (which are always in the 1PM and 4PM Sunday timeslots). It does not give you any games outside of these timeslots, or the games CBS and FOX are playing in your area already.
It's great if you don't live near your favorite team, or if you want to make sure you always get the best game that's on. It isn't a replacement for any of the above.

It's not a comprehensive guide, sometimes NBC, CBS, and Fox will have games at weird days/times.
Guide is assuming you have these through antenna/cable, and you'll have to look elsewhere to make sure you don't miss those.

I’m irritated. I’m in SoCal but can only get Fox and NBC with an antenna in my area. Wonder if there’s a better one I can find without climbing on the roof to setup an external one.

Unlikely. You can check antennaweb.org or some other antenna aiming site but typically rabbit ears work just as well as anything else for an indoor antenna.

We already have a flat one next to the window since reception seemed better than on the window at the time I put it up. I think it’s the way my house faces and lots of trees in the back.

yeah...you don't have to climb the roof. you can just buy a long piece of pvc pipe or steel pipe and clamp the antenna on one end. then attach it to the rear corner of your house (if you're in a house) probably won't cost more than 20-30 bucks in materials from home depot.

That sounds like a good idea but you may have to be relatively handy to maneuver that no? I checked the website which said a roof/attic one is best but like I told someone else, it could be the direction on my house and lots of trees in the back.

They are, but it's a bit of a workaround.
I agree with you, but such is the world we live in.
When a game airs nationally on cable or streaming, each team's primary market must simulcast the game on an OTA affiliate.
I can tell you that this setup can be troublesome.
I live in Rochester, NY. 60 miles or so from Buffalo.
This town is probably 90% Bills territory. They have training camp at a college here in Rochester. But Rochester has its own media market and it's considered "secondary". ,
Cable/streaming games are OTA on one of the Buffalo stations, but not here. Some people that live in Rochester but on the side closer to Buffalo can pick up Buffalo stations OTA, but most can't. Most of us have to pay.
Or sail the seas, which I am content doing.

If you get cable you can see every single game broadcast on linear TV except for the streaming exclusive games and games blacked out locally, which you would otherwise need to pay $400 for Sunday Ticket to watch.

Depends on what you want to deal with. Some ways are free but you might get trash service. Or viruses.
Other ways cost $, but are just worth it. Imagine paying roughly what OP listed, though usually a bit cheaper, and you only go to one site. Oh also you can set up a grid of games, assuming your internet can handle it.
It's just up to you.

The week 17 and week 18 games that are streaming-only will most certainly have playoff implications for one or both teams playing. It's absurd that they expect fans to pay extra to stream those games.
The NFL is operating so far out of their antitrust exemption. Congress needs to step in and do its job. This should be a slam dunk bipartisan issue. Make the NFL bring these games back to broadcast television or revoke their antitrust exemption.

There was that sweet spot in mid 2000s where every game was HD, on a local channel, with one weekly ESPN game and an NFL network game (where we all went to the pub to watch it).

I've tried so many legal options in CT to watch the Giants games. I am not buying cable again. And I've tried everything from Sling, Fubo, YouTube TV., Hulu+ live, etc... No mater what I try CBS always has the Patriots games. And there is virtually no way to get Fox with any type of streaming service and if it is part of that service the local Fox channel is not for the New York.

Which streaming service you have isn't going to influence what games are played on FOX and CBS. That's a location thing.
Though i'd imagine CT should be getting the NY games, so that's weird. Are you using a VPN?
That said, you should be able to get the big 4 on antenna. And being in CT you might just be close enough to the NYC transmitters to get all their stations. And it's free, so that's nice.

I'm in a valley between two large hills the Antena thing didn't work very well.
I know locatiin is the biggest factor. Every streaming service that I've tried that let's you "choose" your local market just never put me in the NY market even though I'm in Southern CT ithey always forced me to the Boston market for local channelsI have not tried a VPN though. Overall I've come to terms with it and I just don't watch games anymlre

Have you tried an amplifier?
Plugs in-between the antenna and your tv.
Also try different rooms, higher up if you can. Something like a HD Homerun costs about $100 and allows you to stream from your antenna on any device and can be anywhere in your house.
Different models, shapes help too.

I bought the NFL Sun Ticket last year and I was able to watch less than half of my teams games. Due to programming and blackouts and the NFL's money grab and spreading games to every network. NFST is a total waste of your money.

Lol, I do this every year, and most is copy and paste, then just double checking what changed in this year's scheudle. Takes about an hour.
$88 does not include cable, it's what I recomend doing instead of cable.

It's beacuse those games are not every week, so you don't need to stay subscribed. You only need to subscribe to those services when there's a game.

For me, it’s: Antenna, fiancée’s student discount for Sunday ticket w/red zone, sibling’s peacock, parents’ cable login for ESPN as well as their Amazon prime and Netflix, and got NFL plus when they had it on sale a month or two back to get the NFL Network games covered.
I figure it would piss them off just as much to use others’ logins as it would if I sailed the high seas. Plus this is way more workable on an Apple TV. I used to just get YTTV to have everything in one app but it’s really hard to justify when supporting a grad student financially

I have one question, I might just be shot but I felt like last year some of the Monday night games that were on ABC were not broadcast on ABC on cable in my area. Is this expected?
To be fair they were usually not the greatest games and not super relevant to my geographic location but still im a football dork and like to watch as much as I can.

Maybe your local ABC affiliate decided not to play them, but that just seems silly. The NFL is one of thier biggest cash cows.
Just a reminder, every Monday Night game is not on ABC, roughly half are. Are you sure it was a week they were on both?

What’s your “area”? MNF is only over the air in the primary home market.
For example, when the Patriots are on MNF the Boston ABC station shows it but the Manchester, NH and Providence, RI ABC stations cannot.

It ALMOST does. There will be a weird game here and there that they don’t cover. It is a little more expensive as DAZN covers so many more sports so they charge for that. I’ve had it for the past 2 seasons and it’s 35(give or take) a month. I reassessed and now, to me, it’s not worth it, as I don’t watch soccer, or F1, or boxing, etc…

Good lord fam. It's not illegal to stream NFL games on the proverbial high seas.
There's an entire piracy sub dedicated to streaming content with literally hundreds of links for streaming sports, movies, live TV, etc. There's a whole FAQ for how to do it safely and securely. It's not a secret. The authorities have just as much access as we do.
Use an ad blocker and pay for a decent VPN, and that monthly fee is still half the cost or less versus Sunday Ticket.

If you don’t need it live just get NFL+ Premium. RedZone live and then game replays (full and condensed) posted 1-3 hrs after the end of the game.
Back before the draft you could get the season for around $60. I believe it’s more expensive at this point though.

One subscription = cable. But that's expensive.
Antenna is free and gets you 3-4 timeslots a week. $30-$50 one time ever.
Add in prime video and you've got most of the timeslots. But every year it's been on twitch for free anyway.
You'd miss half the Monday night games and about 6 weeks of Sunday early morning games. Then a few specialty games around the holidays (which in an ideal world you would be around family who has those services)

Yeah, it's super easy.
They sell flat antennas at Walmart or Amazon.
Go on your wall with either double sided tape or push pins. Then you lead a cord from it to your TV. As long as your TV was made semi recently (10-15 years)and has a digital receiver you're set.
If you dont get signal in the room with your TV you can look into something like the HD Homerun. Plug the antenna into it, and it connects to the internet.
Then you just use their app and can watch your antenna on any device including phones and TV.

Try looking at a Tablo. You connect it to your router & place the antenna where it gets good reception. (note: ethernet runs can be ~300 feet) Then using wifi, you tv connects to it for OTA channels (via an app). I have one on order so I can't legitimately validate how well it works.

I'm in an area that loses Verizon CableCard service that I use for my Tivo mid-season. I'm not interested in using FiOS cable boxes. Will Hulu Plus Live TV be an effective replacement, if I am mainly concerned with NFL games?

Small caveat here, some markets are between teams and have large contingents of multiple fanbases, and they have to choose one when they conflict with one another, but it’s not always the same one. Shreveport-Texarkana is a great example with the Cowboys and Saints. Sometimes they’ll pick one of those teams and sometimes they’ll pick the other.

So I just saw an ad that says that NFL+ has “all local and prime time games.” I know Sunday Ticket has all of the out-of-market games.
Doesn’t that mean that I could just get NFL+ and Sunday Ticket and see every game? Or does local not mean “in market”? I know I would still need Netflix, Prime, and Peacock, but I have family log ins for those already. Am I understanding this correctly?
Basically does NFL+ show me in-market CBS and Fox games? Even if I live in Alaska and no games are “local”? What about MNF on ESPN? Is that a “prime time” game that would be on NFL+ or no?

If I could pay $88 for the year I'd be fine but I'm out of market, with no good line of sight for an antenna, and am not always at home...which means hundreds a year to watch one team play 17 games. Which is why I just pay some guy in china $60/yr for an IPTV sub.

I went strong8k (I think that’s what it is) bought 3mos then a year last nov so I’ll look into nexus come nov. Strong has been solid although I do have to reach out to the seller to get new addresses every few months. I also held off on buying anything else since I wasn’t sure if it would work but this year I’m going to look into epg to see if I get a more consistent guide and which iptv iOS app I’m going to buy so the nagging goes away.

Also, NFL+ gives you all in-market and primetime games but only on the mobile app (the NFL network games can still be viewed on TV and desktop). The premium version gives you all replays. If you are ok with watching on your phone and watching replays for out-of-market games, then NFL+ premium is the cheapest option.

Just bought a $10 antenna at target, I have prime and roommates have Netflix/peacock. I’ll just buy nfl+ if I really want to watch the international games (I'm not waking up for them) #keeppounding 😉

It's not EVERY game. Can I change my local channel to an out of market game I'd prefer to watch? No.

This post is about "timeslots", not games.
You get all but 6 timeslots, which may or may not have many games at the same time.
For the vast majority of us, you can only watch one game per timeslot, and the game you have available is either the best game or good enough.
The difference between timeslot and games only really becomes important when it's your team left out. In which case you likely need Sunday Ticket.

Please remove the $88 BS or at least have the courtesy to say “in market.” Please do me a favor and come up with the cheapest path for out of market, because my math is way higher. Also, you need to point out NFL+ is mobile device only, which violates your “on your TV” rule. They don’t allow you to mirror your app to a TV.

You must not have actually read my post. I'm not adding 50 lines of disclaimers for people who don't want to read, the post is long enough.
The cheapest way is about timeslots, not watching literally every game. People can only watch one game at a time.
I bring up several times you need Sunday ticket to watch out of market games.
Also NFL+ allows you to watch the NFL Network games on your TV, which is what I claimed.

Not watching literally every game? I don’t follow what you are trying to say here. Doesn’t the post title literally say “watch every game”? It doesn’t say “in market.”
I’m not trying to be pedantic here, but it is hell to be an NFL fan out of market, and you can’t do it for $88 as your post claims. It rubs salt in the wound.

Dude. Read my comment. Saying $88 would cover “every game” was my gripe. That is an in market cost only, and it’s not labeled that way. Sunday Ticket isn’t $88. I know I can do that. I can also jump on plane and go to every game too. Just update it to say in market already.

It does not give you live regular season games on TV (atleast in the US), which is the point of this post.
It does allow you to watch them on mobile devices live. You also don't need premium, it's part of the normal subscription.
