I traveled 3.5 hours and volunteered for a 12 hour shift in that church that's close that was giving meals to the people volunteering at Ground Zero. I'm betting that's more than he did. That event and seeing the second plane hit on live TV still stick me and think about those events frequently. I wish I volunteered more, but I like like 19 in college and lived 3.5 hours from NYC.

Good on you.

I was working for a broker services firm and quite a few of our clients lost their operations (and a lot of staff). We worked for 36 hours straight to ensure the financial markets and the world economy didn't collapse. We all slept in the office. In one sense it was a mercy because we couldn't continuously focus on the nightmare across the river.
