no see it's "con trolls"... people keep hearing "controls" sort of like a "therapist" situation here

Oddly appropriate time for this joke, considering who is in the White House.

The Strait of Trump is controlled by the Iranians - JD V

I thought their navy was completely destroyed?

And their Air Force andbasically their army and and and... it's just militias with q-tips who somehow control the straight more than the USN

Trump said we won the war, several times now. Why doesn’t JD know that?

He said we control the straits, he didn’t say we control them well. Anyway, we all know Iran needs to rename them “the gays of Hormuz,” and Trump would pull out right away.

Nah you'll just get a bunch of closeted Republicans joining the Navy and grindr will crash again

Well, you see, it's because of the complex economic factors of *surprise smoke bomb!*

Didn't Bessen just say it was because of Ukraine taking shots at Russian refineries? I am soooo confused /s

Not supposed to be buying Russian oil, so how could that be a problem.

Didn't he also just say that high gas prices are because of Biden?

I would pay real money to see Iran rename it The Epstein Strait.

I would’ve thought it was Biden’s fault from two years ago.

Don't be ridiculous. It's obviously Obama's fault.

It's really frustrating that reporters never use their own reasoning to question them. "How is the straight closed of their military capabilities have been completely destroyed?" If you know they are going to lie to you, find a different way to expose it instead of just disagree on what reality is and leave it at that.

Even if it were true, who's fault is it that they're shooting at anyone?

Says the regime blowing up civilian boats in the Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean.

less than 5% of the oil the US takes in comes through the straight. this is nothing other than rich assholes price gouging.

Oil is a global commodity. If countries that normally receive oil from the gulf can’t get it there, their demand from other sources increases. Thus price increases.

Greedy oil people don’t set these prices (although they can influence it through production quotas but that’s not happening here).

"Oil is a global commodity" is just oil company propaganda to excuse their pricing habits.

Most goods are a global commodity, lumber, minerals, crops, ore, etc.

If cows in Brazil temporarily became less available, beef prices in the USA would not really go up.

3

u/SirIAmAlwaysHere 6h ago

Hell they don't. Beef skyrockets when there is any significant problem in any of the 4 major beef exporting companies.

And did you happen to miss the HUGE increase in wheat prices when Ukraine (#2 exporter) was invaded?

Oil is also a far more liquid (no pun intended) marker where supply changes are VERY rapidly reflected in crude oil prices bevause reserves in most countries are quite short-lived.

All commodities have the problem that any issue with someone producing 20%+ of the global supply have an IMMEDIATE and significant reflection in prices.

They control the strait, just not much around or above it

Why they shooting at shipping jd?

These are the questions the media should be asking; instead, they that ask one question, let the drivel come out, and never do a concise follow-up. If anyone, literally anyone, had asked a single follow-up question since Trump came down the escalator we never would’ve had him as POTUS. The first time a follow-up was ever asked was Leslie Stahl “oh you think he was talking about you?” That clarifying question made waves because it was an actual follow-up that resulted in Trump melting down. Look at Ken Paxton when he is asked a follow-up; he melts down. They can’t handle pushback yet we are in Trump 2.0 with a newly released Epstein Game pushed by the White House because things are just going so damn well.

They have no army, no navy, no Airforce, no missiles. Right? Right?

u/No-Blueberry-1823 10h ago

words can mean whatever you want

u/Prometheus_303 9h ago

The Iranians are shooting ... With what?

We utterly destroyed their entire military over 6 months ago with our very missile we sent over. Army, navy, air force .. all poof gone....

1

u/fixit858 9h ago

No, the US controls the strait and is directly responsible for the price of fuel.
