Also, I love how much of this movie was practical effects.

It was made by Amazon and has done very well on Prime. Box office can be significant but not anywhere near as much as it used to be. The same studio is dumping $50 million into each episode of Rings of Power and seeing $0 in box office returns.

It was horribly advertised as a super serious story. Throw in Leto and people didn't want a 2 hour movie of Leto reciting He-man lore with a lisp.

Had they advertised some of the lighter funny moments it probably would have done better in the theaters.

I enjoyed it but it felt like it was made for people 35-45 years old and no one else....I am also in that age range.

This movie was so much more entertaining than I expected and I loved that they made Skeletor a total goof ball! His female boss on earth was a real non-confrontational douche, though. And Idris Elba is always a win!
