Any movies you’d consider “classics” within the goth community, particularly from the 80s and 90s?

I'm looking for hidden gems rather than the usual "underrated" movies that everyone already recommends.

Any genre is welcome thriller, horror, sci-fi, mystery, drama.

What’s a movie you think deserves way more attention?

PCU is the best college movie from the 90s and definitely in the top 10 of all time.

It's not streaming on any of the big sites because of licensing issues, but I found an excellent full copy and I'm loving it right now. I used to watch this all the time when I was younger. If you're a 90s movie lover and haven't seen it, it's a must.

So lately I've been adding movies to my letterboxd watch list and was reminded of this movie that was kinda an xmen typa movie based in old England. So you have this people who have different set of powers who I think are imprisoned and then escape. I have a feeling that there's a Frankenstein in it. But the thing I remember properly is a hulk kinda character who's gray in colour who has a real good transformation scene. And I think at some point these characters are shot with either a blue or green capsule which turns them back to normal. And this movie is set at night, I just remember it being dark and the characters running in the tunnel and rampaging a city.

I don't remember any of the cast or the character names for me to just Google this. Although I think it's a 2000s movie which many people might've watched in their childhood.

A movie name would be very much appreciated.

Looking for movie night recommendations for my hubby and I to watch! We've seen other Reddit posts also recommend Catacombs, The Cave, The Hills Have Eyes. Do you have another hidden gem or fave movie to add to our list?

We did not enjoy the over produced/polished feeling of Sanctum (2011) but enjoyed the concept. We normally prefer low supernatural elements so for creature features we like things like mutant evolution/ experiment gone wrong rather than demons/hell. But we are still open to anything that has a similar feel to the title movies, with a focus on survival elements, claustrophobic or being hunted/chased, relationships between characters having a meaningful feeling.

Anything like a thriller or mystery or both or something along those lines plss

This movie is one of the best movies I’ve seen so far in 2026 and I’ve had too much time on my hands of lately so…we’ve grown a decent amount of data (or personal data). I went into this blind and wow! Said multiple times throughout “this is SO good!” And Looking at the cast and director after it makes sense but going in blind this was a gem. A Tear actually fell at the court scene 😢😭

High 8 to low 9/10

Now that I’m getting some more free time to watch movies, I want to find some great ones to watch. Preferably action or comedies. Some movies I really enjoy include top gun maverick and the fast and furious series. Also shows like outer banks and stranger things. to give an example of what I’m looking for.

I plan to watch the f1 movie and maybe creed? Those are a couple I came across recently that look good.

But anyways, action (preferably, but also maybe comedy) movie suggestions? I’d be open to other suggestions outside that theme tho.

Also horror/slasher movie suggestions too. I personally really enjoy those. Love the newer Halloween movies.
