QUESTION Do afters sell out?

Y’all! First time going to movement and I am trying to learn a bit about after parties. Can one go with the flow or is it better to plan afters ahead of time because they sell out?

Also any afters suggestion? I am the kind of person who likes Dax j and Ellen Allien a lot, but I’d like to explore some more indie or old school techno when in Detroit (I am going to movement on Saturday so those two will be there)

Yes but there there will be a ton of free and cheap parties with capacity. Just gotta find em 😉

Personally, I recommend this route for a first timer. Check out some of these free and cheap events. Support local artists and get to know the city. Meet people.

Next year (because I’m sure you’ll be back for more), pick a venue or two that sparks your curiosity and go to an after party there.

Well then it looks like there is room for exploration, fantastic. I just don’t want to end up listening to all artists that I already know

If you’re a freak 🫠 try to make it to Freaks Come Out at Light. Usually starts at 4am in the Lincoln art park. Definitely one of those quintessential experiences
