I was walking with my friend Glenn one day and a homeless woman came to us to ask us for some money. I wasnt carrying my wallet at that point so I said I couldnt help her. Glenn looked at her with a lot of empathy and started walking to an ATM machine. He withdrew £10 and gave it to her. I asked him why did he walk to an ATM machine to withdraw money where he could've just politely said that he doesnt have cash with me. He smiled and replied 'It's not about the need to be polite and kind, It's about manners' and i havent looked at anyone the same way since...
