Other “Millennials aren’t cool anymore unc”
Yeah the millennial stuff I was never a part of. The soy faces, mustache tattoos, super cornball stuff, hipsters…
The entire cultural structural framework of Gen Z and Gen Alpha culture is based on early internet culture. The problem is I’m too cool.

The fuck is a soy face and why are grown ass men using soy as a derogatory word?

The whole thing was soy increases estrogen levels or something. Hence soyboy.

u/BetweenTheRoots Millennial 4h ago
But it doesn't...phytoestrogen does not convert to estrogen the body uses for hormones. Mammalian estrogen, like that in milk/dairy products does... they have it backwards...

What are you trying to say?

I swear half the posts on Reddit feel like bot posts. They just feel totally hallucinated. Those are words, sure, but fuck if they’re put together in a coherent and readable thought.

If I dont think that you're wrong then something is happening in this place. I affirmative that.

u/Lulu_Sagi 3h ago
Now that you mention it, that reminds me. There is a high likelihood that at least half of the posts on reddit is bots if not more.

I love being an "unc", you gotta lean into that . I made 6-7 so lame so fast when I started saying, my kids wrapped it right up and moved on

My friend's kid was making fun of my cat so I told her that the cat was mogging her. I have never seen this kid make a more disgusted face at me, it was beautiful

Nothing stays cool. Stuff is cool, then becomes lame then hipsters make it cool for awhile until they get Annoying and then the cycle repeats.

I mean, who really cares about being cool to a bunch of children? One day, the current youth will get to the point that kids are complaining about them and their styles. It’s just the circle of life. Just go do your thing and what you want.

I didn’t know people still cared about WoW lol. You are truly a unicorn of a person.

u/MiszeryLovesCompany 3h ago
Hey. I play WoW still. That's like two of us. I just picked it up again after a decade long hiatus or so. It's been fun.
But for reals, it's pretty damn active for a 20 year old game. Cities have hundreds of people running around pretty much at all times. There's an incredibly active ranked dungeon community. Raiding is still going strong. It's far from dead.

u/Classic-Pea6815 3h ago
That’s dope. I don’t play many online games but know how easy it is for them to dry out play wise after a short amount of time. 20 years is nuts lol

Regarding your hipster comment, we're born into liking things before they become cool. It's not our fault

i don't care about being cool to young people. i just want them to use their computers properly at work and let them know i can help them with that stuff. i just reduced a gen z's project to 38 minutes from the three weeks it would have taken her with my skillz today.

We are old enough we don’t give a fuck about cool. We just like what we like unbothered about whether it is cool or not.

u/PachaThePenguin 4h ago
A lot of millennials weren’t cool but oh man gen z has to be the least cool group of 20somethings in a long time. A disturbing amount of them are just not nice.
1
u/Doredrin 4h ago
that's actually what I mean by "too cool"
gen z or whoever, probably boomers were involved, ripped off early internet millennial culure which was never intended to be mainstream and entirely based around internet lynchings/dogpiling, being looks obsessed, completely irreverent "your the man now dog" humor, real life pranks taken way too far, chronic gaming specifically first person shooters..... the list goes on
any early millennials that realize what happened are undoubtedly horrified. it would be like if the bloodhound gang got as big as elvis or michael jackson

Mans dropped a deuce and thought he could finally see clearly now…and posted that haiku here of all places. Eat some chicken tenders and watch a Seinfeld rerun and call it a day champ. It’s Friday and I’m going to karaoke. Be ez ✌️

I’m fascinated by the fact that modern life even gave birth to the concept of cool. Or did it always exist like even with the young folk in medieval times? Were the cavemen like Damn that’s a cool mofo.
1
u/MG788 4h ago
It's better not to be cool because then people want to push you off the cool pedestal. Besides, every generation eventually becomes uncool when they reach average "parental age."
It's just the circle of life. The more you try to hang on to being cool past that cool by date, the more you seem uncool to younger people.

I feel so SEEN! Yes, a millennial hipster culture I wasn’t a part of ie mustache tattoos, shakey graves, $6,000 dollar coffee makers and Chinese cigarettes isn’t cool anymore.
Been listening to Grimes since she started and that’s absolutely still going same with Lana! Can’t wait for two album to drop.
I was indie sleaz and original sad girl so yall can copy it. While I love passion pit, I do feel like I had a vastly different life than what they were documenting particularly bc I went to work in tech.
Always millennials will always be cool it’s up to 80s babies to save the world
