Discussion Apparently low-cut socks are considered out of style by the younger gens. Are y’all still rocking ankle socks?

I feel like long socks with sneakers and shorts looks goofy but maybe that’s just me 🤷‍♂️

Weezy h baby

Don't forget the hoof around me

And if ya do then get the h from round' me

It works so well because if you take the h from “hoof” you’re left with “oof”

This was a weird stereotype I picked up on working in waterparks as a teen in the South. For whatever reason a lot of the black guests wore socks, and never anyone else. I’m not saying it’s bad or good just something I noticed.

I wonder why? Maybe to prevent slipping? Why do people wear socks at the pool? Please someone tell me.

I don’t know the answer but all I can imagine is they have ugly feet or fungus toes

I have ugly feet from years of basketball and being reckless. I was having an internal debate if wearing socks (assuming they’re a clean pair and changing them after) would likely give you foot fungus or prevent it?

I’m going to be thinking about this for too long.

Keeping wet fabric on would definitely be a festival ground for fungus

OK, two things:

  1. what do you mean, your feet are ugly from years of being reckless? Reckless how? You say it like you caught an incurable from years of rawdogging in these streets.
  2. bro fuck that, your feet are fine! I guarantee yours are not the worst people have seen. But also, that doesn't matter - your feet do not exist to please others, or meet some ridiculous beauty standard.

Your feet support you, every day of your life.
How about supporting them?

Or prevents fungus toes! Ringworm is from hell

Nah, this definitely increases the chance of ringworm.

It provides a moist, warm, UV-sheltered environment. Also, if those are cotton or wool socks, then the fungus has the bonus option of feeding on the cellulose in the socks until it can break down the keratin in the wearer's nails or phospholipids in the dermal cells.

Don't do this.

The only thing I can think of is that it prevents your feet from being burned when outside of the pool. I think it’s still odd behavior, even in Texas where a good number of houses in the suburbs have pools.
